Chrono Cross Extreme Problems

Okay I got the game running smoothly using Nextgl plugin, I found that is faster. But I have problem with extreme tiling of the background.

Also, the message boxes look weird. And what is this box? I pushed one of the keys and this came up, is it normal?

Here are my settins:
640x480, 16bit color
textures:
cache size:normal
texture page depth:16-bit and 2xSai
Update on move:Disable
Texture filter:bilinear
Texture allignment mode:best
screen filtration:enabled

Please help.

try pete's opengl, work's best on geforces, but if you must. turn off screen filteration, and 2xsai.

I like 2xSai though, that's why I like about this plugin.

2xsai is ALSO in pete's LATEST gpu drivers. current version is 1.64.

Okay. I'll try that. But is it normal for characters in their to be kind of moving up and down (shaking slightly)? Pete's plugin is good, but what options are best for smoothing out the background? I can't see any different with 2xsai. Probably because I have a 32mb GF2, so it automatically disables it? Any other way to smooth 2d?

There's a handy little option in Pete's plug-ins called screen smoothing... that definitely helps alot, and in the Square games it'll make the text look alot less ugly. Also your gfx card's FSAA settings will smooth out stuff... although with a GF2 32MB, it probably won't do too much for 2d, only really for filtering the jaggies on the 3d textures.

the weird box when u press the square key is for key items :D

Maybe his problem has affected the key items box as well. So he never know that is the key items box.
