Before I go into battle on the world map, everything is fine, but when I go back to the world map, things look like that picture I attached. My Pete's OGL GPU 1.63 Settings are:
Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.63
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GFX card: RIVA TNT2/AGP/SSE2

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Fullscreen - Desktop changing [16 Bit]
- Keep psx aspect ratio: on

Textures:
- R8G8A8A8
- Filtering: 6
- Garbage collection: on
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: on
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 2
- Framebuffer texture: 2
- Framebuffer access: 3
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: on
- Advanced blending: on

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: on
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: off
- Game fixes: on [00000400]

BTW, the game fix is the nVidia/ATI ICD fix.

I have a:
P-4 1.5 GHz

256MB RAM
40GB HDD1 (running ePSXe off of this disk)
60GB HDD2
WinXP Home
Running off of an ISO
Eternal SPU Plugin
Win2k Core CDROM

By any chance does your system freezeup after the first fight with the Giant Robo-Spider thing?

No, i never had that problem... are you using cheats or anything?

The problem with it was the framebuffer access. By moving this to 0, everything corrected itself
