Gran Turismo 2 Background Music

I have searched this forum as best I could, and I can't seem to find anyone with this issue. Everything runs awesome, except I seem to remember that in a race, music would play while you drive. I am not getting ANY music, only the cars' sound effects. I am running:

Athlon t-bird 1GHZ
GeForce 4 Ti4400, oc'd to 4600 Specs
768 MB PC133
30 GB ATA100
Win XP Pro

ePSXe 1.5.1
Pete's D3D 1.63
Eternal SPU Plugin 1.30
ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.1.
bios\SCPH1001.BIN

Now, I have checked in the game three separate times, and do not see an option to enable music anywhere, so I am assuming it is an issue with the emu. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Use the internal spu for GT2.. Somehow other spu pluggins play the music too low.. Turn up the volume to see what I mean.. The internal spu however plays the music louder..

BTW... Be aware of where you post next time.. Moved to problems with games..

Well, thanks for the tip...but I want to be 100% clear, as this has been real frustrating. By "internal SPU," would you mean ePSXe SPU core 1.5.0.? Or is there an actual plugin called internal SPU? I am quite new at this ePSXe thing. And as for where I posted...I did post in "Problems With Games..." At least that's where it shows up when I browse the forum.

edit: I feel I need to clarify, too. I get music at the menu screens just fine with the Eternal SPU, and with the ePSXe SPU. It is ONLY during the race that there is no STP or Rob Zombie...

Yes I mean the internal epsxe spu.. And I am a moderator for the board so I moved your thread to it's proper place.. That's why you see it there now.. Before it wasn't.. :)

OK, well, I tried the epsxe spu, and still nothing. I am going nuts trying to finger this one out...

Have you enabled all the sound options in epsxe?

Well, that worked like a charm. As a matter of fact, the Eternal SPU is working far better than the internal one, and I have all my background music and all the cool goodies. So thanks a bunch!!

edit: On another note, I cannot seem to get the PEC cheater to work. I am only trying to use the all Gold Licences cheat, and it doesn't seem to want to work...any help there?
