I think your settings are too high, some games maybe be more complex then others. Try using Pete's D3D instead! You'll fps will go up for sure!

Also, i might be wrong on this one! But doesn't the GForce 2 GTS goes only to 32 MB??

- VRam size: 64 MBytes

I believe you! :) I said I wasn't sure! It's just that I had a GForce 2 GTS and it was 32MB. Anyway? Did you got it to work?

Lower your Framebuffer Access setting.. 4 enables Full Vram Primitives..

Try to update you're video card drivers! It is weird it appears diferent Card names!

Well, does this happens only on FF8? or you have that low fps problem only on FF8? BTW, since you never mention, are you playing the game with a cd-ro? try playing it off an iso, huge performance increase.(I think)

Moved.

If the framerate is slow, use lower screens. Try 640x480.
Or lower the color depth to 16bit.
Turning VSync off or Frameskipping on should help a lot on framerates too.

try disable 2xsai Hi-res texture and it should help the framerate as well.

You should try lowering your resolution if you get slow dows of 27fps.
