The FMV in the Chrono Trigger CD (i haven't tried FF IV yet maybe it happens there too) run really really slow (30 fps), and the sound with a very low pitch. I'm using the same plugins as always, Pete's D3d, ePSXe core SPU, Pete's ATAPI bla bla bla, the most recent versions i think. Any way, this is about expse 1.5.x cause in 1.4 it worked fine. But is there a way to fix this or must i really use 1.4 for this game?

BTW, it isn't every FMV cause Ehrgeiz worked fine!

The only thing I can think of is to manually set the fps limit to 60.

lol? what's the logic, if the fps get to 30 there's no way they'll get to 60 if I set it that way? ;)

Nah... it's already on 60!

Your system seems OK...
Probaly some of your GFX/Sound settings are too high?

You could maybe try a software plugin. I messed with setting after setting with hardware plugins for chrono trigger AND final fantasy and couldn't get either to work right with them. The software plugin worked ok though. Could give that a try if you would want.

Try a different SPU and try to run from an ISO,could help ;).

I already tried several SPU, happens the same in all of them! Gonna try a ISO today, but this is a ePSXe 1.5.x problem right?

Cause i used the same plugins & settings in 1.4 and it worked fine!

Yes... Sounds like a 1.5 problem...
But have you tried cleaning out your registry and reconfigure everything...?

Metalmurphy

I don't see what the drawback of using a soft plug-in is in this game anyway... so why not just do that?

2xsai is the draw back no biliner flitering is the draw back, not having 300fps is the draw back.

Eh... on the PS version of this game 2xSai and bilinear filtering... marginally increase the graphics quality... the only point to play the PS version is to unlock all the stuff anyway and watch the MDEC's...

If you just want to play the game and use 2xSai and whatever other filterings, just play it on a SNES emulator

It's not very uselfull change emulators every time a FMV comes, I like to see them when I should, not all of them in one time and then play the game ;)

Thks again!
