What are your ideas?!:eyes:

Damn those gameboy advances are sold out in every store, no wonder I see it in every kids hand in the subway. It's like if I'm in a commercial man:eek:    !!!

Well, actually it's coming out on November 5th,3 days before Xbox(if they can release Xbox on time that is).

I saw on that Who Wants To Be A Millionaire show today a question about what Nintendo translates to in english. It was something like "way to Heaven". strange.
Anyway I think that getting a PS2 in mid November sounds lik a good idea since they'll probably drop the price.

I don't know a whole lot about game cube, but I do have a prediction for x-box. I think that the x-box will do poorly because its games are going to rely on its hardrive. And I can't of coarse say for sure, but I think its gonna suck when some people's harddrives fail after a few years and then you have to buy a new one to play your games again. Hopefully by that time a good emulator will be out hehehe. I think a hard drive is a fine idea, but they shouldn't make their games depend on it. It should be a completely seperate thing.

Men it is true that xbox has its own HDD and also it is using windows 2000 kernel but the HDD will use only for caching for large size map(ex. Tonny Hawk 3) and to smoothen and to reduce loading not all game will use this........ not bad idea at all isnt it?

The Xbox is confirmed to be $299 USD, same with the GC, only $199.

The GC's hardware specs are much different then potrayed in the snapshot, they were recently changed at E3..

And don't believe what microsoft says about the polygon numbers of the Xbox,in reality it's at the same level as the GameCube(maybe a bit powerfuller).

A dev friend of mine who does Xbox/PS2/GC told me that in his opinion, the GC is the most powerful of them..

It's true that xbox & gamecube are stronger than the PS2, but don't thing sony will give up that easy, the company will buy out all the third party developers.

I remember the time when I was comparing the Sega Saturn with the playstation, and from my perspective I saw that the Saturn was much better and had more power then the PS, then years later I saw that sony was in first place and the Saturn was gone. Very sad story but it was they sega president to blame for.........

I wonder if any one would ever make a bleemcast like program for xbox so you could play psx or ps2 games on it. That would be cool.

I think that emus like ePSXe won't be too difficult to port on the Xbox.

I heard that xbox won't be to hard to port to computer since there programing is very similiar. The thing is you'll need a very good graphics card and computer. I heard the for the guy who made VisualBoy.

 I really don't like it when people make stupid comparisons, for example processor speed, that article that you posted FireGL seemed to be biased in favour of the XBox, why?
Notice how they give every intricate detail on the Xbox but barely skim the surface on the other consoles? (for the Gamecube they don't even bother to go as far as giving its full specs).
And the fact that it mentions the speed and type of the XBox processor yet only mentions the speed of the PS2 and Gamecube processors is also one of extreme arrogance, here is why:

Processor MHz has always been one of very stupid comparisons, its common knowledge that the Motorola PowerPC processors are much more efficient and better architecturally designed than their x86 cousins the reason is because Intel & AMD are having to keep their processors compatible with a very old standard (1970's designed processor architecture, i'm not saying they're crap.. just that the architecture is limited because it is having to stay compatible with an old less efficient design).
And the reason because Motorola's RISC PowerPC range is superior in design is that they had no such limit, they dumped their previous processor (the CISC 68k series, used in the old mac, amiga, atari st etc) and designed a whole new processor from the ground up using all the best design methods of the day without having to worry about previous compatibility.
Therefore, for all you lot know those processors in the PS2 and Gamecube could be much better at handling data than the processor in the XBox.

And last of all consoles are never measured by their speeds, or how fast their fill rate is but upon the quality, amount of the games and to a degree the marketing too. (look at what happened with the N64 vs. PSX)

He won a Gamecube?
Correct me if i'm wrong, but all games for the Gamecube (like Luigi's Mansion etc) are still in development for it aren't they?

Is your friend stuck to watching the tech demo's until games appear for it?

accualy yes that is true he has no games. I dont know if he has the tech demo even. but most of the time contests are jipped that way.

what if GC is fast than both X-box & PS2?

it's possible since GC equipped with 128bit & it's 4x than x -box specs?

The graphics doesn t mean all...
The games make the console,
Not the chips and nor their power.
