I own all these games retail and PAL but I can't get them to work in the emulator. It just turns black on FF8 and 9 and nothing happens and FF7 freezes when the blueish text about piracy comes up. Why god WHY!!!! =)

I've heard something about a patch or suchlike here on the forums but how can I find that and why will it help?

Why not play FF8 for PC?

Maybe it's because FF8 PC is set to 640x480 on 16-bit colour (with 24-bit backgrounds and movies being downed to that depth, too) and you can't get Hi-res textures or really hi-res anything?

err... there are patches to change that but I still think you should play the PSX version in ePSXe

Try searching for it in a search engine.
