Hello,
I have a sound problem with Tench 2, the awesome (but not as good as original) stealth ninja game for PSX. When I'm in the normal game, all the sounds & effects work just as they do on the Playstation. But, when there are in-game cutscene dislogues and pre-mission introduction dialogues (where the Japanese fonts are being displayed), the voice dialogue comes out for about 3 seconds then stops. The cutscene, however, continues, but the sound is muted. What could be the problem?
Here's my current config:
GPU: Pete's OpenGL 1.63
Desktop: 800x600, 32bit color
Texture Quality: Driver's default
Texture Filtering: 5
Gfx vram size: 64
Garbage collection: On
Faster Palettized Window: On
Use FPS Limit: On
use Frame Skipping: On
Auto-Detect FPS: On
Compatibility:
Off-screen drawing: 2, Standard
Framebuffer Textures: 0, emulated vram
Framebuffer Access: 0, emulated vram
Misc:
Unfiltered framebuffer updates: On
SPU: Tried Nullsoft 1.3, ePSXe core 1.5.2, and Eternal v1.3
Nullsoft 1.3 gave me garbled noises.
ePSXe and Eternal gave me the same results.
For Eternal v1.3, I enabled these settings:
Enable Sound, Enable CCDA Sound, Enable XA sound, Enble SPU IRQ Hack (i turned this off but it didn't do anything)
Sound buffer size: 8
Audio Out Method: Thread
Special Game Fix: Didn't check anything here.
Wait for XA buffer is free: On
Whew, typing all this was very tiring & boring. Well, I hope someone has the interest and patience to read this through and help me. Help would be appreciated guys! =)
