Hello.
I am fairly new to the emulation world, and I have a few problems running the ePSXe.

1- WWF Smackdown 2 runs slowly at times, even if there is only two wrestlers. Sometimes it runs fine, and others it slows right down..Of course, there are no musics and some sounds missing

2- Tony Hawk 2 works NEAR perfect, but without music, and some very minor skipping (disc is clean)

3- Grand Theft Auto runs ridicously fast. Sounds, game everything, like its on speed.

My Specs -
Compaq Presario
800 Mhz
128 RAM
40 Gig HD
16 bit 3D Accelerated Vid Card
16 Sound
8x CD Rom (i think)

My Em Specs- ePSXe 1.52
Using Petes DSound Audio Drive 1.15
Petes DX6 D3D Video Driver 1.63
The ePSXe CD Rom Core Driver
The BIOS (obviously)

Can anyone offer any solutions or help???
Thanks

Have a look at my plugin config guide. It may help you out.

Obviously, I still havent figured out how to configure my em to run on my PC properly, as you can see by these pictures...

Picture 3, which I didnt get had Rock in his celebration on the top rope with his raised arm missing, and Shane McMahons face spread across the upper bowl.

Looking at the mats around the ring, you can see Shanes skins spread out ..
(he interfered, Im thinking thats why hes all over the place)

SO, if anyone can help me figure out the config, PLEASE DO!!!!

Thanks Kane, but your config guide is for YOUR computer.

I have listed my specs in hoping someone might know a working config for MY computer.
Thanks anyways.... I did check it out, and it didnt work for me.

Scotty2Naughty, don't post threads about the same subject on different forums. I will delete the one in the Plugins discussion forum.

Make sure you have latest drivers for your video card.

Doesnt looks like a plugin problem to me.(make sure you dont have any game fixes on).

It would have been better if you have named your graphics card and also provided the plugin configuration you are trying to use and does the problem occcur with soft plugins as well ?

Praful -
I have managed to get past the missing poly problem, now its more of a speed problem, and some missing screens.
Example - In Smackdown 2, at the player select screen, the borders are gone, and you can only see player ones picture, and the name list until AFTER Player1 is selected, and then Plyr 2s face and name list appears...

But like I said, Tony Hawk 2 works NEAR perfect

AMD Duron Processor 800Mhz
S3 Graphics Pro Savage 7.5Mb (but it runs 32Mb PC games)
120 Mb RAM
Sound MAX Digital Audio

I am using Petes DX6 D3D (misspell?)
I have tired Kaz's soft plugin with even worse results

Yes the configs are for my computer, but it does provide an explaination of what each option should do. Well it did last time I checked any way :p
The problem I think you will find is the Savage 3D. It is a bit of a difficult card, and can cause the most obscure problems.
The best suggestion I can give is to use the PEOPs plugin, as that is not hardware reliant.

wierd...I have a more garbage PC than you and the only problem I have on Smackdown 2 is Slowdowns and I didn't have any when I was using petes DX6 D3D Driver 1.46 only when I upgraded to 1.65

Nice Page kane
