I tried playing yu-gi-oh using epsxe 1.5.0 and 1.5.2 and in both versions the game doesn't seem to work at all. When I start it, it gets to the opening konami screen and stays there. The game never loads. I do play other games very regularly so I doubt that my PC is the problem. This is a pretty new game so maybe its not supported yet??? Any help is appreciated.

This is a known issue. The fix is simple. There are two BIOS images most people use: SCPH1001 and SCPH7502. Whichever you are using.. use the other one for this game. 8)

This holds true for other games as well. I have seen a few that lock up at the boot screen with one BIOS or the other. Switching fixes it.

I'm not sure about what I'm gonna say so feel free to correct me if need be:

New PSX games (year 2000 and newer) have a protection against modded PSXs (Something like; if the psx already has the region signal before the game sends it's own, it just wont run. (or something like that))

I had the problem with Yu-Gi-Oh and with Legend of Dragoon. If that's the case, how could a different bios change anything? (I'm not a PSX expert so I might be missing a point here.)

Anyway, I'd also like to know where I could get the patch for this game (I looked on NGEmu and they don't have it).

I have a:
P4 - 1700 MHz
256 Mb DDRAM
GeForce2 MX 400
54X CD-ROM Drive

As for the ePSXe configuration, it'll have to wait cuz I'm not home right now. I know I'm using the most recent ePSXe.

If you could at least include a link for the game patch, that would be a good start.

scph7502 seems to fix the problem with my NTSC version. The scph1001 causes freezes for me too
