Hi,

When running Medievil (from CD and ISO), I only seem to be able to get to the first "loading" screen (the one after the little book is shown)....after that the screen starts to fade out but then just hangs with a little bit of the picture of the sleleton and the "loading" remaining on screen. I've tried waiting a few minutes just in case it's the speed of my computer taking it's time to show anything, but after 5 mins I decided that wasn't the problem.

This problem occurs whilst using both Lewpy's and Petes D3D video.

When I looked at the dos screen behind the GUI it shows "error reading cd: 48, 56, 59 and 48, 56. 51 (if this means anything to anybody). Except for when I use petes CDR ASPI/IOCTL 1.10 (it shows no errors in the dos window , but still doesn't get any further than the other plugins. I've also tried mounting the image with daemon tools and still no change.

If this has been answered before then I apologise, but nothing came up for this game when I searched and it isn't mentioned in the help file as a problem.

Thankyou in advance for any help :)

Moved.
And Medievil uses some copy protection, maybe it's unsupported by ePSXe,try to enable subchannel reading and see if it changes anything.

It doesn't sound like the copy protection to me. IIRC that only kicks in after the first 4 levels. Sounds more like you have a damaged disk, one from which you can't succesfully create an iso image either. Basically the only way I think you could get past this is either by getting a new copy or by posting a mem card and hoping that someone can play thought to the next level. (BTW you'll need to mention what region you are in).

Thanks for replying guys, your help is much appreciated.

I'm a bit pissed though as I remember this being a cracking little game, when I had my playstation. I recall it as being a particularly good-looking, and for some reason it sticks in my mind for the music in it too.

Nevermind, maybe I'll find it secondhand somewhere.

Thanks again. :)
