Best settings for ToP

I have gotten to the desert town and I end up having black lines on screen instead of heat waves any way to fix this or to disable it all together? :confused: I'm using pete's d3d 6 since the normal version hates that game.

i have this problem in tod. I just turned on fvp. It was slow but it worked.
