Whenever I start up Breath of Fire 4 (US), the anime intro movie messes up. The video and sound is really choppy and slow. What sort of drivers and configurations should I use ?
My computer:
Intel Pentium 4 1.7 Ghz
512 Mb RAM
Windows 2000
Video Card: NVidia GeForce2 MX
Sound Card: SoundMax
I use:
ePSXe v.1.5.2
Pete' s OpenGL Driver 1.63
Pete' s DSound Audio Driver 1.15

I use D3D driver for my video.
I use either ePSXe SPU core or Eternal SPU for the sound.

first try making an ISO out of your psx cd. this will help you load the fmv's more quickly.
for more information about making iso's go here:

then if it's still choppy, try to check the "Unfiltered Framebuffer Updates" in either the D3D plugin or OpenGL plugin.

i got the same problem. the problem is that the emu try to play a ntsc sequence (60fps) with 50 fps. setting the fps limit to 60 fps should be fix the problem.

The best graphics plugins for your card are pete's GPU plugins vers. 1.64. They may be found on the main page of NGEmu.com As for the best driver for your card, I would say that would be the 28.32 WHQL detonators available at www.guru3d.com For a good configuration I wold say to use the OGL plugin and set it to fast. Then you can tweak and adjust from there.
