Can't get Rayman Japanese to work...

Hi, I have the Japanese version of Rayman, but I can't get it to run with epsxe. It shows the UbiSoft logo, then it hangs. I'm using Pete's OpenGL 1.62, Pete's Directsound 1.15, epsxe ASPI 1.52 and SCPH7502.bin. Anyone can help? Thanks in advance.

Maybe the game is mod protected, search the web for a Rayman Japanese PPF patch file, I don't know if the BIOS matters but have you tried the scph1000, scph5000, scph5500 or the scph7000 that are japanese BIOS

Hi, I can't seem to find the PPF file. I doubt it's mod protected, since I bought that game around 1995, and there weren't any modchips then. I have tried all those BIOSes and still it doesn't work...

It works with CVGS though, but too bad I can't search for cheats with that program... That's the main reason I want to get it running with epsxe. I can't seem to find any cheats for it anywhere on the Internet (no one seems to have the Japanese version)!

why don't you try at the epsxe command line commands like -cdtiming or -adjusttiming. Check the .chtml file that comes with the epsxe package for more info. Tried forcing PAL or NTSC?
As for the cheats you could try pec (http://www.emucheater.com) plugin that allows you search for cheats

Hi, exactly the same hang-up with Rayman1, but Euro (?) version (English, French, German languages selectable).
There is some mention of Rayman in epsxe doc- fix in version 1.50, but both 1.50 and 1.52 hang. I have tried various BIOSes, various plugins, many differnet settings.

Strange, i have the same PAL version, and it works fine here.
