Heh. If you take a look at the shot of my office setup here (http://forums.ngemu.com/general-pictures-videos/114439-post-your-entertainment-set-ups-3.html#post1517362). It might make more sense. I had the Macbook taking random shots of me while I was working on the desktop for a bit of a "candid" effect. I chose this one, tried to bump up the contrast a bit, cut out the background, and then went grayscale and dropped the blue channel. I rushed it so it didn't turn out how I'd hoped.

Lincoln is a nice place to visit once in a while (if you can get used to their screwy downtown roads) but I couldn't stand living their back when I attended UNL. Any reason you're avoiding Omaha? :p

Most vehicles in this area don't even try. I mainly get douchebags in 4x4s pulling up next to me at a parking lot and revving their engines.

Every once in a while I get some Mexican in a riced-out Honda Accord/Civic that thinks his VTEC can match a Z. I toy with them and make them think they actually stand a chance until I get bored and blow past them at 120mph.

It's always fun when I find somebody else on the road with a Z, though. We never race each other, just play a bit of "tag."

I really liked Lincoln. It was nicely urban after living no where for almost a year. I love old neighborhoods, they had a great health food store, and everyone was really nice.
It could be that I've lived here all my life or the traveling I've done, but Omaha feels small. For me, it has a small town / big city atmosphere at the same time. Mind you, I'm in western Omaha. My GF grew up in south Omaha and her parents actually live on 16th St right by the zoo. She also lived in Bellevue I think for a year before I'd met her.

I agree about Lincoln. It's a college town, so everybody is laid back and friendly. We have a few clients down there, so I'm in town usually about once a month, if not every other month. Like I said, I just couldn't stand living there. Getting from place to place seemed difficult (especially on weekends) and driving downtown always managed to stress me out. I'd miss my turn or there'd be construction going on, so I'd have to come about and circle around the block due to all the one-ways. Parking was always abysmal. I don't know, maybe living in the dorms ruined it all for me.

Last two vehicles have been manuals. Eclipse was a 5 spd. This...a 6 spd. Although, before that, the 3000 GT was an automatic (they were impossible to find for sale in my area). So, 2 out of the 3 sports cars I've owned have been manual and I wouldn't prefer it any other way.

The initial pictures I posted in there (the linetrap era) were actually me in highschool age.

Bulimia flared and I gained an incredible amount of weight.

I was contacted by a bintopian out of the forums to enquire about my eating disorder story, curiosity.

These following pictures are over a span of around 7 months in which (iirc) I dropped around 6 stone in weight and was hospitalized.

Wooh hold up now. In the short run amphetamines do artificially boost your confidence, its false confidence though. I know. I took ritalin, and initially it would give someone a huge false boost in confidence. But in the long run they ruin it. You become dependant on it, and your natural confidence without the stuff becomes worse. So maybe you think well ill just keep taking the stimulant all the time then. No, your body builds up resistence and eventually the benefits continuously diminish. All the while you are screwing up other parts of your mind. Near the end of my 13yrs or ritalin use I was making utterly stupid decisions, a trend that was getting worse as the time on the ritalin progressed. By my first year of college 5 years ago, and second last year on stimulant meds i was often staying on the campus computers surfing the web until 4am in the morning and taking a $40 taxi cab homes (cuz the busses don't run at 4am) and missing classes the next day. And my screwed up reason for doing this was because I was having trouble making friend and socializing. A younger version of myself at the age of 14years old would never have done that. So my descision making and warping of perception had actually deteriorated.

Don't get me started on how much stimulant drugs can screw people up.

Its taken me the past 4 years to even begin the journey of recovering my confindence, regaining my mental capacity and rediscovering myself after ritalin ruined me.

No don't even consider going down the road of stimulants to artificially replace confidence.

he, why is it that all of our id photos always make it look like as if we are some kind of weirdo? I mean, my school card makes me look like I'm about to rip the camera apart and my drivers license makes me look like a serial killer. (my only conclusion is that they have some kind of software that alters the photos to purposely make us look like weirdos).

Just to make sure everyone understands though what my EXACT status is when it comes to programming and such!

I can't program very well! I am only starting to learn VB6 and at this stage have only worked on my web-browser that I am working on! I DON'T EXPECT THIS TO EVER BE GOOD ENOUGH TO RELEASE! (I haven't even yet looked at @ruantec's lessons at the @ES forums.

The reason I am Co-Developer of @ES is because of a few reasons!

1. When I first signed on to beta test @ES in August '07 for at least the first 3 months I talked to @ruantec about @ES EVERY DAY for at least 3-4 hours because I saw potential in @ES that most people had trouble seeing and I wanted to know more about what he was doing etc... because I was excited about what he was doing and had only 2 weeks before I saw the thread had said I wish there was a program that did exactly what @ES does to a friend of mine (But without having programing skills myself I had no chance of doing something like @ES) and because I have wanted to learn programming since I was about 9 (Just never had the opportunity where I had a computer I could learn DECENT with and only learned some basic on a COCO2 or TRS-80 for people that may know this variation of the COCO2)

2. I through these talks could see features that @ES should have to make it user-friendly as possible, have come up with ideas that have helped @ruantec solve programming issues just through a FANTASTIC knowledge of what is possible and realistic with programming (I may not know how to program but I have a brain and know what is and isn't possible) I also have no photoshop skills! I do know a tonne about a lot of other things though with computers! I can even solve a rubiks cube;)

3. The "@ES - Shadow" release of @ES is when you will see my BIGGEST input for @ES

4. In the last year especially (After I was already made Co-Developer of @ES) @ruantec have become extremely good friends! So much so that we are both dying to meet each other one day and we have both said that the other is the BEST friend they have ever met online!

@RUANTEC IS A TRUE MATE AND I HONESTLY WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR HIM!

We even give each other money out of our PAYPAL accounts if we need it for something we want to buy online;) Thanks for the help with VF5 for my new PS3 mate;) I am LOVING it!:)

Very true there mate. Like when you were on holidays just before the first beta release of @ES and I literally slept days so I could work ALL night with you! We were both putting in a good 80 - 100 hours each week for about 2 weeks at that point and OMG did @ES benefit from that time ALOT!
