I cant seem to get this game work.
Is it just me or do I need to check epsxe settings further more ?

How do you mean it doesn't work. What happens?

It freezes at the first screen that says,
"This game includes violence scenes and grotesque expression."
in japanese.

I haven't got this game, and I can't spot anything on the compatibility lists, but maybe it's an config problem that I can spot. Waht are your plugin settings?

Im guessing its that anti-modchip thingi thats causing this ?

That freeze is usually due to not having accurate cd timing enabled. The gui option for this is missing in 1.5.2 so you'll need to start the emu with the -cdtiming command line option or use 1.5.1

Nope cdtiming option didnt work for both 151 and 152 :/

Though most versions should work without this but you should try the ppf patch available here.
http://www.ngemu.com/psx/ppf.php

I finished the game on epsxe 1.4 (and then I purchased RE-3 too).

I've had some problems running RE3 on epsxe. I couldn't get the sound to work properly and the game would freeze for a few seconds (sometimes) when loading new scenes (open door). I ended up using VGS to play it.

The problems you mentioned were removed by enabling accurate cd rom timing.

Got this game to work :)
I was right it was that nasty anti-modchip code aka RHP (only NTSC/JAP games id guess?).
FF8 wasnt aslo working for same reason.
Seems VGS could handle this thing no prob but ePSXe cant.
Used pec to enable the unlock code and yay! its working in ePSXe hehe.
Thanks for the inputs tho :)
