Well i just decided to post this cause i just saw a abuse of a mod, of closing a thread without reason..
I don't wanna post this in the Site Feedback but that was some kind of Abuse of power, there was no need for the closement of that thread, If that was already posted and the poster apoligizes himself i think there was no need for what was made, i already have that problem and i think THAT mod too, and now that person is doing what it regreted about =\

We could use names

Aha ... and if theoreticly that person moved the closed thread which a certain user doesn't like but a mod, which talked with the other mod I'm talking about decided that the other user which excused for the second one isn't really his friend, then you're right.

Or in simple words: What are you exactly talking about ?

Good one Bobbi. :D

Anyway, misuse of power would surely be discussed along with the changes to the site(atleast I hope so).

You could have been more precise on this omega.

Hey slim i prefer to not include names, sorry.. here is the thread for you http://www.ngemu.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20910.
and bobbi, the main ideia i was trying to express is something like this: The person that now is a mod, when that person was a user, post a thread with a topic that was already talked about in the main page, and the thread was closed, and this person was talking to me and complained about that, sayin that it wasn't no need for that! NOW that this USER is a MOD, and that mod is doing what others have done to his/her thread...and it also make fun of it... i really feel bad about that =\

Have i expressed myself clear?

BTW Ali, when visiting your site there is an error like "Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0005' ", and the host seems ugly slow from germany (took over 1 minute to load the page) ... when you are ever interrested in a faster, larger, and so on ... host for your page, make sure to drop me a note ;)

Abuse of power is nothing we want on these forums, but I can't tell if any mods abused his power without knowing what we're talking about here.

It was closed because it was a duplicate thread? What's wrong with that?

Oh, that thread ... already wondered as I couldn't find one when looking for closed today. Well, we've already said it before, news submission is supposed to be a place for news not posted on the mainpage yet ;) that Shadow lady closed it after this has been said isn't something bad if you ask me and certainly not an abuse of power ... furthermore, I doubt she made fun of anyone in that thread. Now keep a bit cooler ;)

Esturk is right.I already posted a thread about it.

I defend mods actions there.

In my point of view i noticed abuse of power and ironic with that ":P" anyway, this is a Open discussion you have your views and i got mine...

Let's say, if if that thread hasn't been closed, and n00bs get in and submit their inquiries without noticing praful's post. That thread will grows and it will get messy when 2 thread with the same topic are on. Please understand, we mods are just doing our job, to make the board as clean as possible. And if you ask me, this isn't an abuse of a mod.

Omega

You're judging that n00bs can't read the previous posts to noticed that this thread was already posted?

Kellicros
June 22nd, 2002, 17:43
That's not what I am trying to say, they don't have to read the replies when they only have the inquiries to the first post.

There's no need for a duplicate thread. Especially if there is already one by someone else! Why have two of the same thing?

It's a waste of space on their servers

Omega

okay then, i gave my opinion and this is becoming off-topic, cause i started with a person action and now it became the duplication of a thread

However, I think I know what you're talking about and will mention it the next time we discuss about such stuff in the admin discussion. Now let's get this discussion to an end.

shadow lady.. a little to immature i suppose, that was very unnecessary  what did she even do to become a mod? because she was evil squall's friend? =/

Omega

Yeah cooliscool, it was that, but we don't need to extend this okay? :)

alright omega i just have one more thing to say, wasn't she leaving? OBVIOUSLY that thread was for publicity and recognition as someone on these boards, how fukkking lame..

She became a mod because she was a news poster. Something that was setup that way and will be corrected in the future. It had nothing to do with who she was friends with. It is not right to speculate and assume to know things without all the facts.

imo saying that she became a mod because she was a friend of evil squall is disrespectful to her. Maybe she might have left but leaving does not have to be permanent, and it certainly doesnt mean you cannot come back from once in a while. Now, closing that thread before wasnt an abuse of power to me since there was a link that referred to the first thread about the same subject

cooliscool

so if i post news can i become a mod? i meant no disrespect, just stating my opinion, if it isn't true then cool, no use making a damn scene out of it.. :)

Not anymore. This is one issue that is being addressed. This being the case I'm going to close this, before moods decend any further.
