maybe in the offtopic-section; webdevelopment is not enough, now you find this threats scattered around "Plugin Troubleshooting", "Everything else PSX", "Offtopic", "Software Discussion" etc.

There was already a suggestion for that but it wasn't that needed at that time, I guess. As in this thread was mentioned, it should be thrown together with the WebDev forum.

Although I wouldn't use it at the moment, I'm seing more and more programming style threads appearing. It's not a bad idea.

we have suggested in making the web development forum into a full development forum covering web and software development. I guess we are just waiting for Bobbi to change it. ;)

This means it's already on its way, right?

Considering we talked about making these changes several months ago (and on different forums), I don't think it has much to do with waiting for a proper time to do so...It's still a good idea, and I doubt it would take a lot of time to convert the current web development forum into a programming forum (change a few words in the title, move a few threads, and WHAM, new forum). Maybe use two different forums, one for online programming and one for general programming.

Nope, it's not that we're waiting for a proper time ... If I recall correctly, the last time this was considered there wasn't much demand for something like that yet ... if this changed, any admin can go ahead and change the forum I'd guess ;)
