once again ff9....

hey guys...here's the deal....
i try to play ff9 in vgs 1.4.1 (the original cds) after having put the fix5 patch and the mod patch and all i get is a black screen.I don'e even get the logo screnn at the begining.Plus whenever i trey to use the video patch i get a msg thet i don't have tnkxfs.dat .Even if i run vgs and exit i still can't get it to run.i ****ed it up and it's driving me mad! Help me if you can.

Yup,WinME has some troubles with verion 1.41,try to use version 1.4 or as someone said(liaqatali if I remember correctly) disable AGP texturing in the Directx control panel.

You have to have the patched VGS (one with the PSX logo) as well as have the games.txt file in the VGS directory

I think Demigod79 could be right. I think your missing the games.txt file. That would make a big difference.

well......it should be work like this........
try to copy another copy of ur vgs ---> the one which with vivi's icon if u patch it and rename it into tnkxfs.dat
then put it into ur windows/tmp directories.....
i just patch mine with fix5 patch and not the mod patch --> maybe thats why i can play

maybe because you use FF9 (PAL)
