Photo shop is something which I want to learn more,...so I thought maybe a thread should be here to learn the tricks.

Well Question one?

How do you create the 3D effect for text....like what...well like the one we have in epsxe main screen......!..I dunno how to do that...here is a screen shot of what I want to do...I took it from the General Discussion forums....!

There's a software called Xara 3D that I use that handles 3D text superbly. I also use Xara Webstyle 2. You can find trial versions at http://www.xara.com

why dont you try Maya or Lightwave. has also nice Photoshop effects.

try on some adobe sites. there are nice 3rd person programmas for photoshop, also plug-ins and add-ons. some will work fine and are nice, some are ready for the trashcan.

Unfortunately, those are *very* expensive (tho there's a free version of Maya available for dl)

They mostly are. You'll have some jerk who puts in viruses in the zip so have a virus scanner ready. I don't use them because I respect the law.

sorry if my guide doesn't help much, its directed at the general public who barely know anything and it only teaches the basics of some utilities

well ofcourse, but if i tried to teach everyone every single advanced feature then i would be a busy man, and im really lazy and right now i feel like sh** (think i got enfluenza)
