Northern Ireland. City of Armagh. According to www.popcorn.co.uk TR is released her on july 6th and Final Fantasy on the 3rd of August. So give or take a couple of weeks just what I said. The stupid thing is we speak english here dammit. Why can't they just release it at the same time as the usa? Its not as if they need to dub it or subtitle it or anything.

FF looks amazing. Hehe I actually read somewhere that Maxim Magazine wants to put Aki Ross(Main character in FF) on their cover, and that Aki's designer refused to enlarge her breasts for it. I also heard that some people want to put her in another movie. She must have a really good agent. Coarse I don't know if this is true or not.

TR looks bad. and I don't mean in a good way. Angelina Jolie is the only redeeming factor in the movie. One of my friends got to meet her for a second when he was working on the set of the newest unreleased Coen brothers movie because her husband, Billy Bob Thornton is in it.

If your a Coen brothers fan then I don't have alot of info on the new movie except that its set in 1920s(I think) and will be black and white. and of coarse B.B. Thornton is in it. I think my friend said that Fran McDormand is in it too.

There's also a story circulating that some teen-oriented mag wanted to do a photo-op with her and were dismayed to realize that she isn't, in fact, real. What was pleasant (at least, so says I) was the fact that they did a shoot with the lady that does Ms. Ross' voice.

I've seen the TR adds and Angelina Jolie is hot, that's probely the only thing that really gets people to come, but look at her. I mean man that's hot.

Hey if you guy's wanna check out a movie, check out "Swordfish" it's and excellent action film with a little twist dealing with computer hacking and kick-ass action and ideas.
The creators of this film is from the master minds of the "Matrix".
So check it out, u won't be dissappointed.

Plus I got to say I liked the other tomb raider model, who was posted in magazine and that was in the videogame expos..... :rolleyes:

I'm sure that alot of you who read this will disagree with me, but IMHO the only reason that the matrix was anygood at all was because of the kung fu stunt choreographer Yuen Woo Ping. He was the one that came up with the awesome fight scenes. Yeah there was a decent story line too, but there were so many faults in the story. Example: Neo always asks the most obvious questions about the matrix and the future technology, yet we're supposed to believe he's a brilliant hacker?
Anyway I mostly just wanted to say that most of the really cool stuff in the movie was contributed by Yuen Woo Ping. Just looking at Croutching Tiger Hidden Dragon you can see that its possible to do amazing fight scenes without computer FX, but you can't do a fight scene without a good stunt choreographer. Which is why the "action" in swordfish is mostly explosions and chases.
anyway that was my rant, sorry.

Did you guys know that Jet Li was going to take Chow's part in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. But he refuse because his wife was pregnant.
Plus he got a new film coming out called "Kiss of the Dragon" in July.

Worst mistake of Li's life. Well maybe not. Family is of coarse very important, but the commercials for Kiss of the Dragon don't impress me too much.
And Chow did an excellent job in CTHD. I think maybe better than Li could have done. Not because I think Chow is a better martial arts expert, but Chow seems to be a more serious actor where as when I watch a Jet Li movie it seems like the plot is there just as an excuse to see some badass fighting. That was a long sentence. I like them both, but when it comes to a good story I'd rather see Chow.

Just read the review over at www.popcorn.co.uk for TR. Not looking too promising only 2 stars (and I normally find films with 3 stars to be trying). BTW on a side note just saw evolution. Oh dear. The longest shampoo ad that i've ever seen. :yawn:

Now, paste the .html filenames after the the forward slash after ".com" According to the site, the FF movie is "Better than" both "Final Fantasy Hentai" and "a Playstation Emulator." Fun, eh? ;)

No, it's not *actual* hentai, there's just links within the index.html file. When you enter them into the URL bar it'll change the titlebar to such things as "Better Than Final Fantasy Hentai" or "Better Than A Playstation Emulator," understand?

For example, going to

http://www.finalfantasy.com/final_fantasy_7.html

Yields "Better than Final Fantasy 7!" in the titlebar. I assume they did as much so that when a search engine catalogued their pages it'd also associate other topics that people might be searching for with regards to FF. Likewise, when someone did a search for such a topic the movie's homepage would show up in the list of retrieved pages.

I'd assumed people would think it to be either interesting or at least mildly amusing. Nevermind.

Often when I'm trying to conserve bandwidth (downloading mp3s and such), I'll browse the web with Lynx, it's a text-mode only browser. While I'm sure everyone will balk, I've actually come to like it seeing as how it's extremely fast and good for when you'd just like to extract information from purely text-based sites. Anyway, for some reason (I'm a freak like that, I suppose) I decided that I'd take a look at what the movie's page looks like as browsed in pure text. I was scrolling through it when I realized there were a ton of links down at the bottom of the file that looked extremely odd. I opened IE and took a gander at the index.html file and realized that there's a host of alternate index pages, all with different < title >s. As I said, you can try it out yourself by going to www.finalfantasy.com, letting it load completely, then going to your browser's "View Source" option (in IE it's View->Source

Taking a look at a page's source is a good way not only learn some tricks with HTML, but sometimes you'll also discover that the developers have hidden a quote, a personal message, or the like within the comments of the page.

there's also some good sequels comin out too, like Rush Hour 2 and Jurassic Park 3, but I have to say that Tomb Raider was really corny:spy: . But do watch Swordfish, its an excellent film:cool: .

I've finally been able to see TR. Averge. Too much emphasis was placed on the incoherent storyline. TR the game is an striaght adventure game and thus IMO so should have been the movie.

One more niggle. Why did they cast Chris Barrie (The guy who plays Arnold Rimmer in Red Dwarf) as the butler. He's a comedian. He not an elderly man.

I've heard any number of people complain about the lack of nudity in TR. If that's all you went to see said movie for, I'm sorry to say you could have saved on matinee charges and had a much better time with Gia ;) It's about a rather untraditional woman from Philly that wants to become a model then details all the crap she has to endure as a result. There actually *is* a story behind it, if you're wondering, and it isn't all that bad, really. Of course, I have to wonder how many people were thinking about the story ;)

Though tamer, a younger Jolie can be seen in a similar :ahem: situation, if you will, in the movie Foxfire. I don't recommend it, however, as it's rather boring.

BTW, I saw Kiss of the Dragon today. It is awesome. Yeah it lacks in story, but it more than makes up for that in kick *** fight scenes. I don't think I've ever seen a more action packed movie and I've seen alot of kungfu movies. It was choreographed by Cory Yuen. I can't think of any other movies he's done, but I've seen his name many times. Anyway If you like action movies, go see this, you won't be disappointed.
