I'm having trouble with the sound, and tried different sound plugs to fix it. But no success so far. I tinkered with the vsync setting, nothing good. Need help.

Your specs? It's normal with slow machines.

You will get hoppy sound if you don't get full speed in the emu (around 55-60 V/Is with NTSC games and around 47-50 V/Is with PAL games). If it runs slower than that, you will get choppy sound. One way that could fix it is to raise the CF to about 6 or 7.

or maybe making an ISO image of the game...

try that it will eliminate FMV choppiness, sound choppiness and speed ups emulation...

Um, this is N64, the game is already on the HD, no matter what. ;) This isn't the PSX forum.
