I have way too many RPGs to play these days. But I will be definately buying this gem when it comes out. This is the next installment in the Tales series btw.

Time to get a GameCube yet? hehe. I can hardly wait to post Final Fantasy Unlimited, or Skies of Arcadia shots. Or hopefully a new Enix game announced at E3. (cross your fingers)

I dunno.. the brown hair doesnt fit in with Cless very well.. either way, this would be one of the games I would buy a GC for.

Cool..hopefully it will get translated and released in the us. The snes version and the psx didn't.

Well, we can always hope. It seems like a lot of RPGs are being translated recently. Fire Emblem and Advance Wars have finally been brought to America. I have high hopes.

Nice video but is didn't show any battles. And that char deosn't even resemble cless.

That's simply because it's not cless. It's a totally new game, not a remake.

isn't that same name as the snes tales game?

Ninjaa
May 10th, 2002, 22:11
Yeah, I mislabelled the thread. The game doesn't officially have a title yet, and I thought just plain old Tales didn't sound right, so I just said Tales of Phantasia.

Right now it's just "Tales game for GameCube."

Great news! Will it be released on other supports than GC?

Just GameCube for now. I don't think it will see any other consoles ever, but I could be wrong.

the xbox and pc are the only options...you usally can't down down grade a game to soemthing like the bs2 without a lot tweaks.

The PC hasn't been very receptive to console RPGs. I wouldn't really think the PC would get a port. The Xbox is a little more likely, but still a very long shot, due to it's unpopularity, and PC architecture. (essentially a PC in a new box.)

A port to the Xbox? That's unlikely at best. Japan has no use of the Xbox whatsoever, and the intended audience in America doesn't have much of a use for a series like Tales of ---. The PC is also out of the picture for obvious reasons. :p I think it's fairly safe to say the new Tales of --- title will remain only on the GameCube.

Hoo-rah for Namco or whoever else is developing the Tales series now. I just hope the battles are as addictive like in previous Tales games.. the overworld is 3-D, a 3-D battle system might ruin a perfect game.
