how would one use say Clone CD or Nero to make an iso from a psx disk?

With great ease. Clone CD 4 has a wizard, and all you need to do is select game CD.

but wouldnt that be with the unregistered version... i know i shouldnt be asking this but where would one fine a crack 4 it?

and isnt that the beta version? i thought i wouldnt be that good since it is.. i guess i was wrong:(

You don't need to resort to that. You can use the demo version. I suggest you read the rules (http://www.ngemu.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=405) man.
