Ok guys ... this game should be Dungeon Siege, but what is truth,is Dungeon Siege really in danger now ? Lets see some pictures first,at some pictures i will tell you what is interesting on this picture and at end what i think about this game.
First picture is nice, what ya think ? But look at bottom right side to the right of minimap, yeah this is FPS ... From what i heard its even worse or same with GF3 or GF4 cards.

Fine picture isnt it ? problem is that your playing here ends, you ask why ? well there is geometry bug when you are stuck in some object and you CANT move, thats happen frequently (10-20minutes) great isnt it ? but it didnt crash like daggerfall .. heh .. but for someone it crashes frequently.

Since ive been m low on health then i run, close door and look at the dude behind door, what happened ? he is stuck in door, again geometry bug, solution ? load saved game,so now i give this game to friend, and waiting for patch to fix these problems, overall i dont like this game much, similar to daggerfall with only new graphics and some new enhacement, but nothing great. There is construction set where you can make nearly everything new,but since game is slow, its not worth to learn how make to new world .. maybe when game will be faster, but i doubt it it will happen.

yes .. its out ... and this is PC version,Xbox version coming soon.
There is some modified exe file, which removes copy protection scheme, cause it looking for it every few minutes, and now game is little faster (+7 FPS) In this game you never know when you die, faster you click with mouse, then there is more chance you will survive

LOL. i wonder if my pc can play it with my specs.
BTW it looks very cool i just installed winxp so i have got major speed increase with other games. I can run them with FSAA 2x at normal speed without hack.

my brothers gonna get this game, and i believe it is gonna be way better than dungeon seige, a game which had more of a hack and slash aspect than diablo. The only thing i liked about DS were the amazing visuals, but this games pretty damn good itself, afterall, it is the long awaited sequel to daggerfall.

ok here i my first screen shot for this game. I was amazed by the water as soon as i got off the boat so here is screen of it. This first game that i can not max everything get decent fps...which sucks but the amaing engine makes up for it.
I remember reading an article about this game last summer. I thought that it would be the coolest. But I doubt it will run on my computer.

Mmmmmm, nice pictures. It looks like I'll have to check this one out as well. Is it similar to Dungeon Siege? I really like Dungeon Siege alot and I am currently playing and enjoying it very much.

uhh its not exactly like dungeon seige... not the least bit... think of ultima 9: Ascension's engine, integrated with the skill system of betrayal at krondor, with the item system like diablo2 (except everything is a window with changable dimensions) and with everything made with today's standards... if i had to review this game right now i'd give it 9.7/10

Come on guys .. its not that great .. similar dungeons, geometry bug is happening alot of times, last it happened when i tried to finish some quest with barbarian dude and he got stuck on tree, next time in water and he died, terrible.Anyway here are some more screenshots,i cant say its better then DS,DS still rule for me.
Also some dude wanted to look for his friend,he followed some monster,he didnt came back,so i should look for him he said.I go like 5 seconds and monster appeared,i tried to go back to guy to help me ,got badly wounded and that guy do nothing, just stay.

Actually i think you can make everything that Morrowind have in Siege Editor when it comes out :-) Without loading new land.

This game has got some major flaws in it that really ruin the entire gaming experience. I only just got it, well it only came out about a day ago and i was soo eager to play it. Until i did actualliy play it only to find out that with my system i can only get a maximum of 25frames per second!!!!!!!!!! Whats with this. I can get well over 100 indoors but when walking around the world which is the majority of the game, it seems to play like a slide show. How can companies get away with releasing game that barely run on the latest hardware??? I wanna know what they were using to develope it and test it on!!!! I am soo disapointed. Even with the patch it does nothing but fix bugs and crashes. Whats the pont of fixing bugs and stuff if you cant get far enough to even exeeriance one because it takes you half and hour to move 10 steps. With all the hype surrounding this game this is a total disapointment. Dungeon Siege was bad enough with its 40fps but this is rediculous. I just dont get it, how can i get 12000plus in 3Dmarks 2001 and over 200fps in Quake 3 but cant even get 50 in this game????:bash:

uhh... yeah... i have a worse system than you and i play it perfectly... maybe you should try lowering A) Resolution B) Graphics Quality C) Shadows D) The most important one... fade distance

Whats the point of playing a game being able to see the hills, trees and buildings draw in right in font of you? There is something horribly wrong and i know what it is-
There is something called Occlusion Culling with the game engine that was not implemented correctly in the final release. The problem is that the game engine is telling the video card to draw every polygon even if it is tree that you can't see behind a house. It's wasting precious video resources to draw all of these unneeded polygons. That's why even your SUPER MACHINES that get 200+ fps in Quake3, can't get jack for fps in Morrowind.
This is unacceptable for games today. This game should be able to run with all settings at full. Changing resolution doesnt make much difference 1-2 frames the most. Its the way the game was made that is the problem. The recomended requirements on the Box look like this-
800Mhz Intel or AMD CPU
256MB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTS or Radeon 7500 (32MB)
DirectX 8.1
Win ME and above
1GB or more HDDspace
Now compare that to what i have in my sig and i should easily be able to run it with full settings plus multitask it with Quake 3 , a DivX movie and some MP3's aswell (Just Kidding :D). This is what you would possibly call BAD PROGRAMING, wasting precious bandwidth on useless and pointless textures. Games are suppose to begetting more complex, better looking and smoother, this is definitely a step in the wrong direction.

im not saying you should lower the fade distance sooo much... ive got it about 3/4 through on the bar and the game works perfectly for me... and i got a radeon 7200 (64mb) ... i dunno... i got 512 mb of ram... less than you... and an amd athlon 1.1 ghtz... so i dont know why it wont work for you

I'm not the only one. If your read the forums over on the Morrowind site thats all they talk about about. FPS is all the topic. This game should ot run at even 40 FPS. I should be able to run it at least at 60 which is bareable for me. After playing Quake 3 locked at 200fps i cant stand anything slow. 30 is unbearavle and 50-60 just ok. I'm quite anoyed in that having quite a decent PC is made useless because some programers have no idea on what they are doing.
Well to answer your question its because of dodgey programing thats why. Or more like lazy programing. Why make a good game that struggles to even run on the latest equipment.:(
Oh yeah and the patch does nothing for frame rates, it only addresses bugs and the crashing problems.

Perhaps Morrowind does not like Win XP. Xkalibur, I have an Athlon T-Bird 1.4 ghz, a Sound Blaster Live Value sound card, and a Vision Tek GF4 TI 4600 video card. The game runs full speed for me and I have the fade distance set at about 3/4ths. So why does it run full spered for me and not for you? I think that the answer is that I am running Win 98 First Edition where as you are running Win XP. Strider, what OS are you using? I still think it may be that Morrowind does not get along well w/Win XP. BTW, the Geometry Bug that people have been talking about, I haven't run across it yet.
One last thing, Xkalibur, I see that you have over 700 megs of memory. Perhaps you could try going into MS Config, if Win XP has it, and limiting the amount of memory that Windows sees to 512 or 256 megs. Try that, if you can, and see if it doesn't help performance any. Also you could try setting compatability in Win XP when you are running Morrowind and see if that helps any as well. Best of luck.

Don't worry morrorwind runs about 15fps on my computer. Which why i stoped playing it. If being attacked my multiple monsters is going to drop my fps below 10 it is hard to live.

Well thats pretty dodgey if the game does not like to be used on Win XP. The OS is the latest one and wouldn't you think they would test it on it seeing that someday down the line most people wil end up using it? Seeing that most people at the momet do anyway.
About the compatability thing i'll try it and see what happens. About the RAM thing i dont see how that could cause problems. I can only see it making the performance better, seeing that XP is a memory hog.

:D what a joke. that's the reason i didn't pick this game up. u all have these heaven-sent systems running morrowind at 15fps. I would kill myself (not game-wise) watching something run so crap slow.I'd take BG1 at 640x480 anyday thank you very much. Hopefully Neverwinter Nights wasn't screwed up like that.

It's an RPG and I can live with less than perfect frame rates. The plot, the graphical, and the utter immersion are what make the game for me. Even combat isn't that bad with so-so frame rates. I have a decent system and I can live with the frame rates, but for the rest of you, I expect a patch addressing these issues will be released soon. That's the beauty of having a PC.
