I think Pokemon has only one more leg to stand on. You will still get long term fans, but newer cartoons such as Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh are really taking away their audience. Also, the failed card game put a dent in Pokemon too. Pokemon Crystal is the last game they are going to make for a while, if not the last.

it takes some planning to get the digimon you like

I use to play it. The highest I ever won was 2nd place at my local card store. I gotta admit, it was pretty boring, and many of the people who I played were pretty dumb. I use to know people who thought they could get Kabutops without a Mysterious Fossil :D Magic the Gathering is a way funner game

but i like digimon more...

there will be 20 new digimon just from the digimon tamer...
that's really a good news..
and i heard that there will be some digimon from the season 4...

I still like Pokemon better. Being the original game, it doesn't feel like I'm playing some ripoff. Pokemon is still going to be around though. Don't doubt it. Pokemon for GBA and GCN are both in the works.

I must admit that I have never kept my interest up long enough to finish Pokemon. But that's also because I don't actually own the game. I only just recently got a GBA, and I am waiting for Pokemon Advance. But I have played quite a bit of Pokemon on other people's GameBoys, and I used to watch the show every day. I thought it was a pretty good game, even though it was repetitive. It takes strategy, and is an RPG in the classic sense. I love that.

I am hoping for a bit less repetitiveness in the GBA version though. The GameBoy is hardly the system to build a trulyepic game on. I thought it was amazing what they did with Pokemon as it was. Keep in mind that Pokemon was really the first GameBoy RPG that I even wanted to play. Before then I had no interest in a GameBoy.

Yu-Gi-Oh is pretty cool too. I was watching it on Kids WB (I'm 14, but I have no girlfriend and i'm on the bottom on popularity so I could care less what other people think). Pokemon seemed to lose some of it's storyline

Well, I for one still like Pokemon. It was a really good idea, but being Game Boy based, it was always very restricted in scale. It did get really repetitive, and a few games have surpassed it in quality, (Digimon is not one of them), but Pokemon was still the first.

I can't wait to see what Pokemon Advance is going to be like.

Well.... I just like Nintendo games. I always have. Mario was the first video game that I played. (Mario Bros for Apple II), and I have owned every real console that Nintendo has put out. I have played some Sony and Sega games of course, but I just love the quality I have come to expect from Nintendo. Every game they put out is near perfect.

Pokemon is generally bashed by all as being a kid's game, and I can understand that, but Pokemon is still one of the greats in my opinion. The gameplay was radically new when it came out, and I remember reading about Pocket Monsters (Pokemon) in my magazines when it was still only in Japan. I really wanted to play it, which was kind of unusual, since no Game Boy game before it had interested me enough to buy a Game Boy.

Any anime that has made it on TV in america is to censored to be watched (cept a couple shows on adult swim... tho even they are cut enough to be annoying) This includes (in a small list)

heh, i got to enjoy dbz in south america and i don't think it was too butchered. anyway, the pokemon video games are decent until the get repetitve. i can have fun w/ them for the first hour or so though...

and the gameboy music is so catchy :D

Personally, I think the Yu-Gi-Oh show is just terrible (well at least the one episode I watched). The whole thing was just the main char (with the really fuct up eyes) playing a round.... and it was basically just like they animated someone playing the game while shouting the rules out loud:

Yugi(?): Now it is my draw phase! Ha ha! I draw three cards from my deck! Behold, the Zupapabug!

Opponent: Fool! With my Raid Factory in play, all insects get a -2 to dexterity! Ha ha ha!

Yugi: Ho Ho! Not so fast, I couple it with Employee Incompetence to destroy all businesses in play! Giving my Zupapabug the Advantage!

Opponent: Waaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiii!!?!?!?!

etc. etc etc.

And i never could figure out why he needed to change into "Adult mode" to just play a card game.

no yu-gi-oh is good, the bad thing bout it, is that they always cry but the good thing is the storyline. We like to watch a show with a character that's a winner unlike pokemon the sotry will never

ends. it's like ash and bal bla save the day from Team ROcket but

there's no action at all the storyline sux, ash is a big loser not to

mention Brock and misty and TEam Rocket are the only bad guys. THe fact is Pokemon is bout everyday cartoon live unlike yu-gi-oh and Samuraix and Digimon they all got some mission to complete. Phew, I'm itired now.

It's nice if they make some more games from anime. The only thing they should take notice is to perfectly adapt it from animation to games. I've seen some good ones, and they are some that being mediocre.
