I gotta say A Link to the Past for the SNES... it was similar to the original Zelda with the great classic overhead view, but had lots of unique items and spells, tons of secrets, good story, translation and great graphics and music

I would say OoT, because it was a very successful 3D version of it.
I have three comments to make on the poll though.
1. Zelda GC isn't out yet. It technically should be there.
2. There are rumblings of a second Zelda being out this year in addition to the cel shaded one. It might be a compilation of past Zeldas, or a totally new one.
3. You are missing 2 CD-I Zeldas. (I don't know the names)

More a game discussion than a console one. Moved.

I couldn't really get into Zelda. I kinda liked the N64 version, but it looks dated even in comparison to PSX games, and that just don't seem right.

Out of all the Zeldas I've played I've gotta say OoT was the best one. It had awesome graphics, great gameplay and many unique, challenging puzzles.

Eh? Name one PSX game that looked better. I can't think of ANY.

Final Fantasy IX. I'm talking about emus here, as I hardly remember what a PSX version looks like anymore.

OOT Rocks! That's all you need to know.

Lord Kane, Zelda OoT is in full 3D, and looks every bit as good as Final Fantasy IX emulated, which uses blurry prerendered backgrounds. There are some decent screenshots in the N64 screenshot section. Go check them out.
And if you want to see horrible graphics, check out FF9 on a real playstation. There is just NO WAY that a PSone can compete with N64 graphics.

I'm talking about emulation. I don't notice blurry backgrouds. I did notice the low use of textures in OoT, that and horrible looking human models.

I loved the Zelda graphics. Well, each to his own I guess.
And the backgrounds in FF9 are extremely low resolution.

Eh, I don't think Zelda ever was supposed to have realistic looking human models. It's a fairy-tale type feel with fantasy characters, so I don't think they really aimed for realism.
Anyway, I think TOoT was a great looking game and on the original consoles, looked better than almost every PSX game. On the emu though you can see detailed textures on the PSX emulator the way the programmers originally envisioned, whereas N64 games usually have pretty undetailed textures... Like I think Xenogears in the full 3d environment looks alot better than Zelda: TOoT

i would say zelda ocraina of time cuz it was a lot more challenging then majoras mask with a lot more items and i liked the story line a lot better

Yeah, the N64 graphics totally dominate PSX graphics, even on emulation. I like the way that Zelda OoT is a full 3D game, not just 3D characters on a low resolution 2D background.

I really liked Oot. This must have been my fav. But it is really closely followed by Majora's Mask and A link to the Past. They were good as well. Majora's mask was actually a big puszzle, if you followed your bombers notebook!

A Link To The Past, no doubt...I can't even remember how many times I played and replayed this game. All I know was that it was a whole lot more than any of the other Zelda games by far.

Definately Link to the Past. Then Link's awakening and Ocarina of time.

I really like the pocket games. I had troubles trying to beat the first Link game, never mind trying to beat a 3D game

I totally forgot about Link's Awakening. That game was awesome. I must have replayed that game soooo many times. Mainly because it was really short and it was protable so whenever I was in a car for a long time I'd finish this game. I love this game.
