I was wondering, does anybody know how many ending there is in ff9? I was wonding on gamefaqs.com and i saw a save file that said "ending 1" and another one "ending 2". The ending i saw was Zidane going to save Kuja and then there is the theater ship that goes to Alexandria and at the end Zidane pops up and there is a really cool (and cute) FMV of Zidane and Dagger hugging.
Is there another ending?

Well there are 2 slightly different endings. There is the normal one and a special one with a few extra scenes added as a bonus. In order to get the secret one you must have a hammer at the end of the game. You obtain the hammer by completing the zodiac coins side quest. Hope that answers you question.

Well you don't HAVE to replay the whole game, unless you wiped all your save games.
Lets assume that you still have a save from just before the final boss. From that save game point you can return to the start of memoria, and then exit back to the world map. Now do one of 2 things
a) If you already have the hammer get rid of it by either selling it or using it at hades synth shop in memoria.
b)If you don't have the hammer obtain it by completing the zodiac coins quest.
Of course if you complete the zodiac quest and sell the hammer there is no way to get it back and you wil have to replay the game.

well, the different endings are really similar.. the only difference is an extra scene (or should i say act) in the final play of "I want to be your canary".. it's like 30 seconds. It's not worth redoing everything but it's still cool to watch it! :P
