phantasy star or grandia II

Do you mean Phantasy Star Online? If so, then it is a tough call because Grandia II is excellent and from what I've seen (I've never played it) so is Phantasy Star Online.

Read up on game reviews. I really liked Grandia II but never played Phantasy Star On-line so I can't really make a comparison.

Just so you know, you can't play online with the pirated version of PSO, as you need a unique serial/key to register.

grandia 2 if you are buying used or PSO is you are buying new and wan to go around killing thins with a ver small plot,

If you don't plan to use the online features of Phantasy Star Online, go buy Grandia 2. Granted, PSO is not a bad game on its own, but it's WAYYY too short in offline/single player mode. Plus there ain't much story to offer. It doesn't have that extra "Online" tacked on for no reason.

I have a suggestion. If you're not going online, don't go for Phantasy Star Online. Trust me, even though it has a single player mode, you won't be satisfied. I have finished PSO offline, and found that the game is very boring to be played solo. All you just do is fighting, level up, fighting, level up (repeat X100). Instead go for Grandia 2. It is a good game and you'll love it.

We are talking dc right? Because if you have powerfull comp. i would suggest buy the PC version of Grandia 2 over the dc version. And if we are talking dc i assume you already played Skies of Arcadia.

If you like online RPGs, PSOnline is a good choice.
But Grandia 2 has a great battle system.
