Adding music

I hab a 1.79mb mp3 i wanna put on my site...but mp3s dont work...so I converted into a wav file...and it became 19.75 mb...why is this? I wanted to put a 1:57 min music but it just wont work...

Wave files are normally 10x larger than mp3's.. Check your website and see what type of music files are accepted..

Only midi and wav files....I made my site at geocities.com :( They dont gib enough mbs...I also made one on angelfire which gives 50mb but then...Im still a n00b at html stuff...

If you want, I can probably get you a customized FIMP setup. It can be totally invisible, but it'll stream your audio for you.
Also, try converting it into a WMA and lowering the bitrate. That usually helps save a lot space. The only problem is that you sometimes trade-off quality for size, but I haven't heard any complaints.

I think you can ZIP the mp3 and put it on your site...It's a esay way...

Zipping an MP3 won´t make it smaller in size, because it already IS compressed...

Okay, ToM_E, tell me what you need the media piece to do. Is it going to be a background sound, repeating over and over or do you just want it to play once when the user clicks something?
