I'm not trying to be impatient, but I thought it was supposed to be out on Friday and here it is, Saturday evening (where I live) and still no new version. Is it still going to be released? I hope so because it sounded great and I was looking forward to "one last treat":D before it went private. Any information would be appriecated. Thanks.

after the FPSE hype, I hope we have something really worth waiting for from AdriPSX.

Hi.
Well, I also wanted to release it on wednesday.
Actually, I'm waiting for some news from Pete, who was coding a new GUI plugin, and I wanted to test it some before making a last pubilc release.
I hope to have all it done for this week end.
As pluses, you must consider that the emu is still "improving" during this delay ;) Just yesterday, "Legend of Manna" and "Grandia" begun to work.
See ya.

Thanks for the information Roor:D . As I said, I wasn't trying to be impatient, I was just wondering was all. I will gladly wait as I know it will be great, just as your last release was. Thanks again.
sincerely,

Yeeeks... you are waiting for the gui plugin? I thought you wanted to release AdriPSX first,
so I can see all available options in the new version... tststs... and you didn't tell me, if the
first gui prototype did work :P

Hehehe... wonderfull... so I will delay the gui plugin another week or two... maybe even more games will be playable until then... currently I am knee-deep into my new spu plugin :)

Well, with Pete... it seems like a "standart" lost mail :P
the "prototype" worked very well, as far as I know.
I've sent a mail to Pete some days ago, that seems to have been lost somewhere in the net :(
Anyway...
For those of you that are just curious...
here I'm posting actual AdriPSX.
It worked fine on my PC, but JNS tells me that it always hungs at his home... of, if someone experience the same problem, please tell me.
This is not a full release, AdriGUI.dll file is missing. So, for making this one run, just replace AdriPSX.exe file in the previous installation of AdriPSX (last previous release .
See ya.

Roor, It works nice! MDECS are perfect (Segu's graphic plugins make it run full speed on my slow computer), exactly as you said, like VGS! XA Audio is quite improved (Background music in some games)
Unfortunately, gameplay is much much slower, and some games (Tarzan, Bugs Life, MGS) have hangups: the first two have a problem after the mdecs. MGS hangs after the startup screen. The earlier version ran it ok. :(
I'm using Pete's SPU & CDR plugins. Pete's GPU plugins are slow on the MDECS.

It doesn't hang, it simply crash as soon as the emulation start :eyes:

MGS? I don't know this game :(
As for Tarzan, I know about it...
It is playable anyway, but for doing that, you must enable "CDROM EXTRA DECODER", and also disable both MDEC switches in "GPU options". BY doing that, MDEC will not be displayed (just a black screen), but game will be fully playable.
This happens also for some other few games.
I'm still working on correcting this bug.
See ya.

you don't know Metal Gear Solid???

Roor, try checking this out.
The good news:
Armored Core: Project Phantasma works full speed, with almost perfect XA audio (some speech in the opening of the second mission got left out)
The bad news (but tolerable):
As usual MDECS were running at full speed, but this time, sound was very choppy.
Tony Hawk does seem to run better though with XA audio on (At least I can hear the background music audibly and more clearly). MDECS are still good, with some sound glitches, but definitely much better than Epsxe.
Tekken 3 causes AdriPSX to exit if you enable the static recompiler. Disabling it makes it work and MDECS run great! Some problem in the static recompiler perhaps?
MGS as Samor said stands for Metal Gear Solid. I usually base my judgement on this software, since so far, only VGS runs this perfectly (more or less).
Until then :D

Choppy sound, most times, is because MDEC are played FASTER than normal... for fixing this, try by setting XA INTERPOLATION in Pete's SPU. ;)
Thanks a lot for the info ;)
I'l work on those. :)
See ya.
