I actually sat down and I started to play Starfox 64. I never beat this game and now I finally did. It took me about 2 hours to beat. I was quite surprized how easy this game was. The only hard level was the last one (duh! it should be the hardest one :D ). Well, what I want to know is how long did it take you to beat Starfox 64 for the first time? Also, how did you enjoy it? I liked the level where you were the tank, that was a cool level. :) Overall, it was a very good game.

it took me a little while longer than that (3 hours?), but i had fun with it, replayed several levels for fun... i like the bosses in that game, well, some of em, like when you and your allies fight 4 other boss airplanes

I actually found that the Venom stage is much easier if you enter from Area 6, since all you have to do is fight Star Wolf, Andross, and Andross's true form.
Anyway, congrats on finishing the game. I don't remember how long it took me to beat the game the first time, however I do know I beat it the same night I got it (so between 2 and 4 hours). I'd also have to say that the really fun part isn't in beating the game, but in getting all the gold medals in both Normal and Expert mode, which I ended up doing twice, and beating your friends in VS mode. BTW, what was your score? My all-time high score so far is only 1546 hits, but I think my first score was something between 700-900 hits. I still play from time to time trying to get a higher score.

How did you beat it? There are several different routes you can take. I actually managed to medal all of the stages and gained the ability to play as the tanks and even the characters on foot in battle mode. I can't remember how long that took me. I'd say a couple weeks. It's very fun to challenge yourself like that, though ;)

My record in the game was in the 1500's as well. I don't remember the actual score, since I erased my memory a while back, so I could win all the medals again, and I never matched my original record. My favorite level was the Venom level after Area 6 though. The dogfight was very challenging, and fun as hell. I liked the game in general though.
Congratulations on beating the game.

Those dogfights were tons of fun. StarWolf was quite the annoying character though. Sometimes I would rather not hear the voices of some of those characters...especially Slippy.

I just hope there will be a shooting part in Star Fox Adventures.

I think it took me about four hours of nonstop play to beat Starfox 64 the first (and only ;)) time I played Starfox 64. StarWolf was definitely annoying.

Raziel, there are Arwing levels in Star Fox Adventures, but it is only to get from Planet to Planet. There are no bosses in Space, and the levels seem to be there mainly as a treat to the fans.

I usually let Slippy die so I wouldn't have to hear his voice :p

It's not too bad. I am really looking forward to it. It's a lot more like Zelda than the classic Starfox.

I dunno. I've always associated StarFox with flying. That's why I liked it. I never really appreciated the StarFox characters themselves. Get me in an Arwing! ;)

The characters have always been a little flat, but I think that they will finally get some personality with this game. At any rate, Nintendo games have traditionally been more about gameplay than plot. I trust that the game will be very fun to play.
