Final Fantasy site banner

Well im making a Final Fantasy fan site [another one you say] :) and just wanted some feedback on this banner i made..

It seems somewhat large for a banner. Although, I do like it. :)

i like too, but i think it should be a bit wider, or with less height ;)

Yeah! That's what I was getting at. It doesn't seem to have the correct proportions to be considered a "banner." It's a nice looking header image, though.

yeah thats what i meant, site header :) anyway i think im gonna take the size down as i had those thoughts myself

I've got Photoshop 6, too. Nice graphics proggie ;)
I'd reccommend leaving it the size it is for the header. Just resize and save a new one as a banner and possibly animate it. It would look nice.

photoshop 6 is really good, i used psp7 for about 3-4 months b4 but used photoshop 6 and never looked back hehe :)

I find PSP7 simpler and easier to use for basic web graphics. Stuff is also easily exportable straight into Jasc Animation Shop. So, I guess I used them both.

For all those Photoshop 6.0 users...you'll love 7.0. I have the beta version of 7.0 and love it more than 6.0.

I've been using Fireworks 4 lately.
Never used photoshop. Is it much better then?
I think I have it somewhere, i'll see if I can dig it out from the masses. :D

http://www.deviantart.com in the tutorials section, thats basically all i usedd but i had previous knowledge of psp7 etc.

Oh and by the way..dont bother with the built in tutorials they are badly made and a waste of time
