Official release date for USA is 5th April, but some dudes in USA already get their copy, playing it nonstop :D In Europe it depends on where you live. Some people said, that AI is pretty bad (your companions) otherwise is pretty good.Time will tell how things are.

Coming to a store near me on April 5th, as spadjr said. Plan to pick it up then as well. I've already checked it at www.gamesstop.com
and at the store they had a Prerelease Box and I looked at that as well. For me, this is a must have PC game and I buy very very few PC games any more.

I'll be happy to post some screens, once I pick it up. Over at www.gamestop.com there are some prerelease screenshots that you can look at also. I suggest you check them out as well. Dugeon Siege looks like a truly amazing game and one worth having.

i guess he's just another one of those lamers.
but back onto Dungeon Seige, is it going to be hackable? because i want to be able to play online without the worry of non-legit items and people, ala Diablo.

Hi guys:)Glad to have find my way to this nice place:)
ABout DUngeon Siege.......it has already been say, but this is not a RPG game, sadly (IMO), another kind of diablo like.Still, the game worth the try, mainly becaues mr Taylor has created a kinda unique way of "non stop wandering" game,I mena, there's NOT a single pause time with loading, you can go from step 0 to the end of the game without a loading screen, wich is indeed a revolution:)
For the pure gameplay side..well,this guy has created ToTal Anihilation, maybe Dungoen Siege will be a surprise after all,who knows :)

Kanedazan, welcome to the boards, nice to have you here. What you say about Dungeon Siege is what I have read. No loading screens and pure gameplay. This why I am interested in this game.
Plus I have heard that it is easy to get into and that controlling your character is easy as well. This sounds like the type of game that I will really enjpy.

This has quite nothing to do with Dungeon Siege itself,but.....Sxamiga,I wonder, do you remember a game called The Immortal,on Amiga500,IMO,it's the ancesotr of game like Diablo, and in a way, Dungeon Siege.
Maybe one game that can be compared to Dungeon Siege is, in some point, Darkstone.........But well, anyway,I think that Chris Robert never claimed that Dungeon Siege will be a rpg,a pure rpg,but more of game to play,a new experience (like Black & WHite whould have been:p), so.....But anyway,it'll be a game that worth the try.Hopefully,it will be in store before Morrowind and Arx Fatalis, that'll give me some time to try it before saying "hou, this game is baaaaaaad":)

My friend has The Immortal for Amiga. Perhaps I should borrow it from him. He say's it's a great game.:)

Kanedazan, yes I do, indeed, remember the immortal for the Amiga. I had copy of it myself and played it quite a bit. I never thought of it being the ancestor of games like Diablo and possibly Dungeon Siege, but perhaps it was. It was a Great game and very interesting. Thanks for giving me a trip down memory lane.
Esturk, I reccomend that you borrow it and give it a try. I think you may enjoy it. Also, since I have not had time to PM you, I'll answer your question now. Unfortunately, I do not currently own any Commodore systems. The last one I had was an SX-64 and, like a fool, I let it go. I'm currently considering trying to track down another one and an Amiga as well, since I have some Amiga disks still "lying around".

I use WinUAE to play Dungeon Master II since I don't have a real Amiga with AGA support. Woohoo today I'm picking up an Amiga 1000! $10!

KanedaZan, actually I have used WinUae and I have it on my hard drive. I actually played Shadow of the Beast for a bit on it. But, none of the Amiga Emulators will read actual Amiga disks. They have to be disk copies, just like the C-64 disks in VICE. I have some actual Amiga Disks still around, that is why I would like to find an actual Amiga again.
Esturk, an Amiga 1000 (the first model) for $10? Wow, that is quite a find. Does it come w/everything?

Greetings sxamiga. The 1000 did come with everything. Original keyboard, mouse, Kickstart disk 1.1, Workbench 1.1 and Kaleidoscope by Electronc Arts. Bonus! it came with the RAM expansion in the front of the case bumping it up to an amazing 512K! Also I received all manuals including the Workbench 1.2 disk, Kickstart 1.2 and Extras 1.2. Damn good deal I'd say! Looking for a newer model now, preferably a 4000 or 1200.

Esturk, yes, you did get a heck of a deal. A complete A-1000 and some extras as well. Good luck finding a 1200 or a 4000. Not many of the 1200s were made before Commodore USA went under and the A-4000s are such powerful machines that people still use them today. Their animation capabilites are amazing. Part of the Disney Movie Tarzan was done on A-4000s.
Spajdr, I am assuming that this game is Dungeon Siege, correct?
If so, where did you get it? Is it out yet? It looks amazing and I am now all the more anxious to get it. The opening screen reminds me of Knox. Great shots, I must say.

I actually use my A500 to do stuff with, it has 1meg RAM and Kickstart 1.2 on rom. I believe it can play most games that don't need AGA or a Hard Disk.

sxamiga : i cant say from where i can get it,but its not illegal :) Here are some more pictures, now from my Geforce 2 card.I expected speed to be higher, but it never drops in 38fps (that was in 1024x768x16) in 640x480x16 it is 42fps. Zooming hugely affects framerate .. at maximum zoom out fps was like 38fps min. In zoom in it was like 60-80 fps, close to walls even more ;)

Last picture will now follow for now ... i must say that these pictures doesnt look that good like it was, before i convert it from bmp to jpg,in original pictures had richer colors :-) What is weird, that if you play a game on easy difficulty, you are nearly immortal,on next pictures you will see dead bear, which even didnt hit me (not at once even!) So dont play it on easy difficulty ;)
