i just want to know does yours tempreture come to 74 cilisius
becuse mine does (no over clocking) and the bus , voltage and ,clock are surely set right .
i just want to know if its normal to be that hot for the 800 duron ...
i forgot to tell you that i use a 2.5 inch tubo fan for it .

Either that's a mis-reading, or your CPU has the worst cooling ever :/
what program do you use?
I have Duron @800 (o'c) and the temp is stayed on 33-35 Celcius only.
only using a mini orb - use motherboard monitor 5 ! for accurate reading

mr2000jp, I have an Athlon T-Bird 1.2ghz and it never gets above 54 degrees celsius. Since mine is 400mghz faster than yours and you say yours is getting up to 74 degrees celsius, I would say something is terribly wrong. Either that, or your monitoring device is giving misinformation, as CD said.

actually the cpu gets really hot i touched it with my hand(the heat sink actually) not forgetting that the fan is working perfectly.

Hummm.. Did you put any sillicon compound between the CPU and heatsink to help transfer heat??
