Favorite FPS Weapon

Following SXAmiga's dismissal of the weapon's thread owing to the lack of his favorite weapon, I decided to post an FPS weapon thread.

The only game I have played her is RTCW so I vote for the Flamethrower.

No My real choice was the double barrelled shot gun in Doom 2 because it's just a good weapon. :)

The gauntlets of necromancy from Heretic are my favorite. There's nothing quite like electrocuting someone with your hands.

my favorite weapon isn't a weapon like ur talking about (tangible ones), mine's intangible: bullet time!

my favorite real weapon is the minigun or m82 barrett (which also is my favorite tangible weapon in a FPS, Ghost Recon)

my favorite gun that I own (well, I'm not old enough to truely own one, so it's under my dads name, but it's mine): Sprigfield Armory TRP (Tactical Response Pistol)...it's what the FBI uses :)

Max Payne isn't strictly an FPS tho. Sorry about missing the gauntlets... and the Chainsaw. I was thinking guns at the time, but somehow the Katana permeated my thoughts.

BFG, Doom. There was a Chainsaw in Doom also. when you get it, it say"You got the chainsaw, now find some meat!" Second choices are the Chaingun from Doom, the Sten German Sub Machine Gun from Castle Wolfenstien 3D (the SNES and PC versions) and the Super Nail Gun from Quake and Quake 2. Chaingun Cha Cha anyone?:D

Well, I do like the stupid FOBby comments Lo Wang says when killing people with the katana. "Oh look. You-ah split-ah personality!" But my favorite would have to be the Berserk pack from Doom II. Yeah, it's not a "weapon" but it gives you the power to liquify guys with your fists! No THAT rocks!

Oh man, I forgot about NOLF. There are soo many good and funny weapons from that game. In that game I love the Bacolov corrector and the sportsman crossbow with scope. Other stuff like the lasergun, the briefcase rocket launcher, and lipstick bombs are some memorable ones too.

Yes, NOLF is one of my favourite FPS.
Although the graphics are not on par with Q3A or UT, the gameplay is great, the weapons are cool, and it's one of the few really funny FPS.

How could you leave out one of the best waepons of all time!!! The Impact Hammer in UT!!! I love blind siding people in that game with an Impact Hammer, they get so mad when you do it over and over. Ultra kills are funny with it, and damn hard. But since it wasnt in your poll I picked the flame thrower from RTCW. What a great weapon, "you know, that grenade is pretty good, but I want something that will throw fire at my enamies!!' Genius, pure genius..

oh man u just reminded me of jedi knight, that light saber was wicked, sometimes i would run through complete levels at once with it just for fun

One thing I like about the impact hammer from UT is using it to deflect rockets - it's hard to do, but cool when you can. Haha, it's also funny to use it to jump by hitting it off the ground even though you get hurt when you do that.

And when super-charged with the Tome of Power they drain HP!! The Phoenix Rod was also pretty cool, it turns into a flamethrower when charged with the Tome of Power.

Another really cool weapon was the Devastator from Duke Nukem 3D and the Microwave gun from Soldier of Fortune.

My faves are all the ones from UT :)
Especially the flack cannon and the bio gun and the 1 that fires the spinning razor disks :)
Its even better when you use the exssessive mod ;)
