Call me stupid but I can't seem AdriPSX get to work.
Nothing happens when I hit the Run CD ROM button. The Configuration window stays the way it is. I'm using the advanced mode.
Plugins:

Pete's OGL 1.59
Mooby CDR
Kazzuya PAD
Eternal SPU

Nezzar : Look at the thread Mini Test, lots of games just didnt start at all,AdriPSX ILE is just not compatible with this game (probably)

Nezzar

Look at my post once again. It's no prob with compatibility. The emulation doesn't even start. Only the configurator window stays. Nothing happens when I hit the Run CD ROM button.

Nezzar

Yes, I am. That's not good isn't it?
Oh wait, I'll boot into win98 and try it there.

:(
I'm using win98se and am having the same problem..maybe it's the cd drive or something.. My physical drive is Z and my virtual drive is E, (how can we change the drive letter anyway?) and it only starts (hangs/black screen) when I load an image on E. Even if I changed drive letter in registry and in cfg file, it still would run it on drive E...

Below is the setting and the log file.. Any help appreciated. Tks.

Ok...heres what we see so far....

Nezzar.... AdriPSX ILE currently does not work with Mooby since ISO support is built in...perhaps Roor will change this in the future..

Moks.... In CDRom setup there is a pull down window where you designate the CDRom drive letter...we have not tested virtual drives so we suggest using the physical drive...

Some references from our configuration guide were added in Bobbi's helpfile...but to view the guide in it's entirety (which may be more help) visit www.PSXFanatics.com later on today

But...it doesn't work with any other plugin either.
As I said nothing happens. Only the configuration dialgoue stays. I think another window is supposed to come up or anything but it just does nothing.

Do us a favor and post your INI file ..It will help us find out the prob

I think that AdriPsx is fine, but the problem is if you are using ISO image even if you're using Daemon tools and want to fool the Adripsx it wont work, but if there is a real cd in the Drive it will respond and start the emulation, when you want to use Iso just boot the file next to Boot CD.... That what I have Found!

May be wrong.. May be Right.. Just I don't Know!?!? :eyes:

:) Whew! I just made it run using daemon tools and CloneCD ISO. What I just couldn't find is designating the drive letter to be able to use my physical drive, the one similar to epsxe's CDRom setup (shown below).

As we know, changing the drive in the plugin is just not enough, it must correspond with the drive letter being used in AdriPSX.. which I found to be always (changed back to) E in my INI file.

I changed some of the plugins lately to make it probably work. Obviously it doesn't help.

[edit] I just noticed that no cd drive letter is entered, will check it out.

[edit 2] Nope, didn't change anything.

[edit 3] I just found that adripsx sets it back to nothing when I click Run CDROM. any suggestions?

Hi Nezzar, this problem seems to be the cd-rom drive or disc, AdriPSX ILE don't recognize the PSX CD you are using and for that the emu doesn't lunch at all, please give me a description of your hardware and tell me all drives and the correspondig letter for each one. It will help us to find the problem.

Thank you very much.

Notice that if you change INI file, it will be OVERWRITTEN everytime the emu starts...

It is most times USELESS to modify it mannualy.

Ok, try changing your cdrom default drive letter (I or J), from your system hardware configuration, forcing it to use a letter between D and H.
Then re-boot your system, check that the cdrom drive letter has changed and re-config your cdr plugin.

Look this pictures if you need help on how to force a drive letter change.

Well, here are two little EXPLICATIVE pics, on how to change CDR DRIVE LETTER from Windows.
(Sorry, because I'm using Windows in spanish).

Damn, I can't change to something between d and h. That are all partitions. :(

[edit] I just notice I could change it, (I'm using WinXP), but it would screw up everything on my pc. eg: If I would assign F: as the cd-letter all the links in my start bar would be dead links. :(

We apologize for the inconvenience.

We just 've implemented a new PSX CD autodetection feature; with the next release (it will be available soon) you will not have any of this problems.

No need for apologizing. It's not your fault. I shouldn't have that much partitions :p
Let's see if I can get the iso support work.

Adripsx authors, in your ini file, could you include a "log" to show info on the hardware of a user's hardware along what pluggin he/she is using?

Funny, Adripsx long longer works on my computer, it would never boot CD, even after I configure it and trying almost every plugin combo I can think of. Must have something to do with upgrading to 1ghz Athlon from a P2 400 or upgrading to voodoo5500 from an ATI Rage/Voodoo2 combo. DOS version still works though!!
