Possible causes of black screens...

Well, first of all.

Be sure you got DirectX 7 or 8 installed on your PC. Most plugins will not work without it.

Also, if you use SIMPLE mode, you must try to keep the same plugin versions as they are in AdriPSX ILE release pack. (changing them may produce unknown side effects).

As for ISO images, I always tried with CDRWIN images. So, I'm not sure about images generated by other applications (I'm working on solving this right now).

hmm, from the games i tested (only 2 atm ;) ) only FF8 displays the black screen u mention. i am using advanced mode (Pete's D3D 1.58, eternal spu 1.20, Pete's cdr 1.10), a PAL version of FF8 and running on win98 SE. using DX8.0 :)

im gonna try more games and see if they run :)
