Enigma, just as you would with a PSX emulator, you might want to try disabling things then using process of elimination. After all, you've quite a few graphics options defined, said options being something that both Zsnes and Snes9x routinely fail on if you choose something that isn't too pleased with your graphics card. You might also try using Zsnes even if you'd like to keep Snes9x about, seeing as how you can at least test if there isn't some larger problem with your computer or, alternately, some problem with your ROM.

So if ZSNES is better than snes9x, then could someone do a comparison test, and tell me which snes emu is better. Because I'm using snes9x and I think it's good.

ZSNES has a higher compatibility, better sound, more gfx options, a much better GUI, etc..
People used to hold SNES9x over ZSNES just because it was open source, but now ZSNES is as well, so there's really no argument...

Then I have to check it out!

>do a comparison test
Well, Snes9x *does* have the special Glide/3dfx modes but, even as a 3dfx user, I've never found them very useful. While quite a few people stress that Snes9x is faster for their machine, I've never found that to be the case. The reverse is true for the newer versions of Zsnes, in fact.

My vote would be for snes9x... I think the interface is cleaner. Oh and as well as the 3dfx mode there is also an opengl one too, so FSAA works. I don't know how zsnes is now as I haven't looked at it in about a year (as I said I didn't like the inferface)

Cleaner? SNES9x's Win32 UI is pure ****.
SNES9x used to be great, but it really went to crap over the years..
ZSNES's UI may not be the 'prettiest', but it's definately clean, and it's very sharp-looking when you enable 2xSAI in the GUI :)

To me it depends on what I want to do ... as for using netplay I like ZSNES better ... I prefer the DOS version over the windows one ... for me the gui is blurry, and I hate the mouse thingy!. But since I use Win2k .. DOS is out of the question.
As for SNES9x if you haven't tried the OpenGL setting ... I say do it. It owns the other graphic enhancements. (not sure about the glide one .. no glide compat card here).
So like I said .. they each have there pros and cons .. but if I had to choose to play a game .. I would choose SNES9x just for the OpenGL setting alone.
