Sometimes I cannot see the postcount of some offline members. The numbers are simply gone. It started happening to me today. Am I unique about this?

Loosing posts is because of single posts getting lost - this is really the SMALLEST problem we have right now, belive me ...

Same here, I lost exactly 20 posts. But not big deal, I could get those 20 posts back if I really wanted to....:p

That was the only problem too. I couldn't connect to NGEmu. Also, sometimes it take a long time to load up pages all over NGEmu (especially the forums). It is probably too much traffic but I dont know.

Well, before you start like that now ... some things :

1) We don't increase post counts of members who are still here again. Some threads have been deleted, and we can't neither will we change that.

2) The post count you get after re-creating your account isn't fake or anything, you can actually still search for your posts - it's re-created by copying your new account into the remaining infos of the old one (userID, avaterID etc.) - that's why it is that important that you register with the same username than before !

3) I don't really care if someone misses some lousy posts, this was more about saving as much from the accounts as possible, not about getting the post count up to the exact number it was at before.

Omage_Red, there are no posts at all in the database for your nickname, did you use another one before by chance ?

There were no troubles concerning the post database, and looking at the SQL logs, 0 entries have been deleted in the past 72 hours. I therefor doubt anyone lost any posts.

I'm spending hours and hours each and every day into that site, I'm paying TWO dedicated servers to keep that whole thing up, often even with money out of my own pocket when ads don't pay good enough, I'm paying domains over the complete netowrk, I'm trying to reply or at least read every mail I get, for NOTHING, ZERO, and I usually enjoy what I do.

The server CRASHED. Servers which are under high usage as ours is simply do that. But that crash just occoured during something happening in mySQL and therefor killed all open mySQL threads and it's data. now what the **** shall I do about this ? Got us addicted to this - bah! Why don't you better leave then ? And it's IMPOSSIBLE, read: NOT POSSIBLE to restore posts from this crash. All we could do restore members who got COMPLETELY deleted, mmkay ?

I really hope I'm in a better mood tomorrow, I could really shut down this board right now reading such BS.

I really would't care too much if my post count dissapeared tommorow. Yeah I spent a lot of time on these boards over the past 3 or so months, but the poscount isn't why I do!
It's because I enjoy talking to the people here about varying subjects (not all of them related to emulation :p). I enjoy helping people when I can.
If you don't like it, don't annoy Bobbi and the other admins/mods about it. They do it for fun. No monetary benefit.
If you don't like it, start up your own board.

I don't care either about my postcount. Sure I get excited when I reach 1000 posts but I don't really complain if I lose my posts cause i can easily get them back ;)
