let me know how it works for you. dun have any system tools to clock the dets at work.

<<Latest>>
If you like anti-liasing, do not install this driver. it took the whole GPU options out. Sucks big time for me. Big regression in my experience. Just my 2 cents of course. Maybe somebody can tell me otherwise? Until then, i'm reverting to dets 23.11.

Thanks for the news, going to get it now.

you can still enable FSAA and stuff, just use a 3rdparty tweak utility like geforcetweakutility or NVmax or something, thats will work.

I dont know why they disabled the GPU option... I think it is a bug. I wonder what would happen if tweak programs like Nvmax does not exist.. Will people still use this driver if they can't set/change the display option? hmmm.. what Nvidia thinks.....

There is a new version which now implements the options.

Thanks Sunstorm, I just downloaded them myself. But I actually posted about this yesterday, my post is entilted New Geforce4 Detonators Out. It is a couple of posts below yours. However, your post is the better bet since it sends you to the drivers w/all the functions. My link is to the ones w/out the Nvidia tools. But I tried out my GeForce4 TI 4600 w/these drivers last night even without the tools and I was astounded. Castlevania SOTN has never ever looked so nice. BTW, these drivers are optimized for the GeForce4 family of cards. So if you have a GF, GF2, or GF3 and they seem to give you problems, this might just be the reason. YAY!!! At last the GF4 gets its own drivers.:D

i just installed these last night, and the tweaks are disabled. :) hope they fix these.

ps. i downloaded directly from the nvidia website and i'm using win98se.

i'm now downloading the same drivers from guru3d now.

Ultragunner, I suggest that you go to Nvidias site and try downloading them again. I downloaded mine last night also, from Nvidia, and I got the ones w/the tweaks. So, they are there, and they are offical.
sincerely,

ok it works now, i re-downloaded it but settings won't save particularly the buffer flipping mode.

I noticed that too. But I noticed it only after I got my GeForce3 Ti 200 and then again after I exchanged it for my GeForce4 TI 4600.
I never had this problem with my GeForce2 GTS card. Since you have a GeForce4 MX and I have a Geforce4 TI I think it may be due to the cards. Perhaps these cards need to auto detect the buffer flipping mode. When I tried out Castlevania SOTN with these drivers and no tweaks, it looked and played excellently. So maybe these card know what they need better than we do.
sincerely,
sx/amiga

Hey Ultragunner, how much did you get your GF4MX? where'd you get it?

sunstorm

actually i noticed a degrade in graphics quality after i tried on the new drivers. dunno but i suspect that sxamiga is right and that the drivers were specifically made for geforce 4 and my gf2 gts just cannot run the newest optimizations properly.

oh well. congrats to all who have a geforce 4 : )

I agree Efrainman, I have seen improvements in my 2D and 3D PSX games w/these drivers. Of course Pete's great OGL GPU Plugin w/all it's new and great feaures helps also. Together the two (the GPU and drivers) are a very good team.

I agree with sxamiga (who agrees with Efrainman), that the new detonators are extremely good. I recommend that you use these instead of any previous detonator. (unless of course your one of those guys absolutely stuck on ff8 for PC and just can't use the newest detonator for that game)

sx/amiga Not just emu, but in PC games too. Weird story follows:

I kept getting a lotta garbage when playing certain games. I thought it was drivers, 'cause it was only certain games. I tried different drivers to no avail. Then, when I tried the new dets, it fixed it about 90-95%. But it was still there. Still didn't know. Then, recently, I put some new RAM in, and while I was there, I decided to look at my GeForce. Sure enough, the fan wasn't on right (too much paste). I fixed it up, and now, it's all good. No artifacts. It shows how good these dets are!! They function really well even with somewhat improper cooling! :)
