does anyone know how to connect to an irc channel through a website page?, i dont mean open irc and connect, i mean have teh chat text etc within the page. Ive seen it done on some sites but never really worked out how to do it, does anyone know or have any sites etc that tell you?
my web host all things like CGI, SSI etc

they 're java script. This one (http://www.jpilot.com/) is very cool, it 's running on ngemu.com.

It's actually a Java Applet. I guess the Microsoft Chat ActiveX Control can do it too....

It is written in java, not java script. ;)

i was wondering, do you know of any free ones, its just that one puts up two lines of text every time you type a message :/

Because LOTS of people think java applets are written in java scripts, and LOTS of peole think that java script is java, i just tried to make it clearer :p

Darkhound: believe it or not, but JPilot is probably the best free web-based IRC java applet out there :/ I know because I tried to find a better one for NGEmu, but they all suck really.. so we sticked with JPilot, the rest is even worse :(
