Does the PC version of RE3 run under Win XP?
I installed the game but it seems like it just crash after the intro movie.
BTW, I have a P3 733MHz with 512MB SDRAM and Asus Geforce 2 MX 32 MB with det. driver 23.11.
Could it be my graphics card? I set the game res. to 1280X1024 with 32 bit color full screen. Could resolution be a reason too?

It;s just hard to go back and play a PSX game on a playstation when you can do it enhanced on a PC.
Except maybe lunar.

I've never even played RE3. Is it any good? :)
Anyway, I think I'll have to agree that PSX versions of games are better than their PC counterparts. Games run better on the platform they were originally designed for. Ports suck! ;)

RE3 PC version works great on WIn 95, 98SE, ME and 2000. But I don't think it will run under WinXP though...
Anyone tried running on XP yet?

And the other way around. Some games should stay on PCs. Ever seen the Warcraft 2 and Starcraft ports for N64? Man did they suck. FPS games are also terrible on consoles, even on a relatively powerful system. The DC port of Quake 3 did not at all match up to the PC version. It's mouse control was slow and it skipped frames. The UT port wasn't bad but I still prefer the PC version.
Woo, my 1000th post!:D

yeah, those are 2 types of game that will never be that strong on consoles: FPShooters and Strategy.
