after playing the fmv when you start a new game, epsxe drops to the console window (aka the dos box) and gives this, dont know if it helps. it seems like the only problem is just an unemulated opcode, to work around it i'm going to try to find a save that i can load.

* Running ePSXe emulator version 1.5.1.
* Memory handlers init.
* ePSXe: PSX BIOS loaded [D:\epsxe\bios\SCPH1001.BIN].
* Init ISO code ... (+subchannel) ok
* NTSC cdrom detected.
* Doing init gpu[0]...
* Gpu open[0]...
* Direct input init ok.
* Doing spu init...
* Spu open...
* Closing spu ...
* Closing gpu ...
* Shutdown gpu ...
* Closing ISO system.
Opcode 1f UNK (PC 00000080) (9085,109)

It seems that you're running the game with iso image. Try running the game with cd instead running with iso.

I believe that you were using Pete's GPU when this happened. the same happened to me.

Set the Framebuffer Acess to 0: Emulated VRAM. I don't think it was ePSXe since the GPU did the same with the 1.50 version. Also, the error occurs whenever you change scenes, going into another room or into battle.
