Whenever I try to run an iso, cdrom, or even the bios using the peops soft driver or pete d3d plugins, epsxe always crashes. It always shows the message, "ePSXe has stopped working, windows will notify you if a solution is found." Or something along those lines. With the peops soft driver, the crash happens immediately, but the d3d plugins will wait a few seconds before crashing.
I've tried different epsxe versions, different games, compatibility mode, and turning off DEP for ePSXe. None of these seem to work. I've also looked at the troubleshooting FAQS, and none of the information seems to help.
I've been avoiding the opengl plugins because they makes every game I've tried run at about a third of the speed it should be running, even after messing with the settings for hours.
I'm running on Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit with an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU. The graphics card I have is a NVIDIA Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.
Any help is very appreciated.
