Hi,
I've been a VBA user for many years and I've been using VBA-M on my laptop for quite a while. Recently I've run into an issue in which any GBA game will lag on my laptop now.
Before anything, here are the specs:
Intel SU2700 Processor @ 1.30GHz
4GB DDR3 RAM
64MB Integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD (Graphics)
Windows 7 Home Premium X64-Edition
In VBA:
Direct3D 9 for Rendering
DirectSound 8 for Sound Output
Auto Frame Skip
No Throttle
In some cases, the graphics will appear normal but the sound will be choppy. In many cases, both will be sub-par.
I'm beginning to suspect that an update for Windows 7 I have installed previously may be causing this slowdown to occur, but GB/GBC games are continuing to operate at normal speeds.
I was wondering what everybody else thought.
