So I have everything configured, but whenever I run ANYTHING I get a straight-up force close. Any ideas?

Define "force close".

ePSXe has stopped working

Windows is looking for a solution to the problem...

ePSXe version and plugins used?

Or just try again from a clean ePSXe directory, and only put under \plugins one single GPU plugin file. If you can run the BIOS, then it's working.

ePSXe 1.7.0

Video: Pete's OpenGL 1.75
Sound: ePSXe SPU core 1.7.0
CDROM: ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.7.0

Does the BIOS run? Remove all plugins and leave only gpu.dat and PEOPS Soft. Then change the gpu plugin.

Are you on win vista/seven? If yes, be sure you run ePSXe on admin mode.

There's no need to run the emulator in admin mode, unless it's placed inside protected folders. That would be unwise to begin with.

Oh, I didn't know. As far as I know, running a program in admin mode can sometimes solve this kind of issue, so I don't really bother about.
