USB Is the Devil's Connection
Jamie handed us Satan's Data Connection (http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/the-lay-scientist/2010/nov/15/3). You see, sane and rational human being, the USB logo is actually in the shape of a trident, and the obvious action to Evangelical Christians in Brazil is to ban its use. Hopefully they don't mispronounce SCSI and find themselves lusting after their PCs.
Maybe USB3.0 heralds the coming of the anti-computer. :p

Well, looking at it, it is a trident-looking thing...but that's just ridiculous.

It must be tiring to be afraid of insignificant things as such a sign.

HAHAHAHAHA ! The evangelicals are so full of **** here in Brazil.
That's very much like them. You have no idea.
Well... Mark of Satan or not..... Who cares ?? I don't.
Maybe the guy who drew the USB logoship have a fetish for tridents. That's all.
Maybe he is a Poseidon worshipper.

It seems pretty obvious to me that the logo was designed to reflect the idea that many types of devices can use the same interface. That's why there's three different shapes (circle, triangle and square) representing three different kinds of devices, coming from three different places and all going into the same connection...or hole or socket or whatever you wanna call it.

Looking at it now... Yes I'm sure... It's Satan's magic. Hahha.. Just kiddin

If it had X instead of big circle on the left side, what would Sony think about it - or what we would think about Sony then?

They think that is a trident? Talk about liberal interpretations.

LOL yeah i just noticed that.
No, but all the pr0n fiends are saying 'yeah this is the best thing ever to transfer my terrabytes of porn quickly to/from Internet & ext. HDD.'
Speaking of the Devil, the Internet (in general post-1998) reminds me of Hell. There are lots of stupid things going on, and no one seems in control. It's just an INSANE place.

I never knew of a Jew having blue eyes normally. Not unless they intermingled with other people. So this whole Jesus looks like a white dude thing is so wrong. I bet Mohammed (who did live) & Jesus (who is the son of God) would probably took a lot alike. Beard, brown eyes (a Mediterranean trait) and all.

Same here. I know some people who see brown eyes as blue for some reason... No, they are not colour-blind. Whatever...
Once we had a task at school to create a big wallpaper of Jesus with a couple of my friends. I made my decision of my own and made brown eyes to Jesus. Then my atheist friend came and asked me: "Why did you made his eyes brown. I excepted them to be blue! Oh, nevermind... "
Enough religious talk, let's talk about USB...

So if I'm understanding you correctly...
They see a specific colour as an entirely different colour..
Yet they aren't colour blind?
If I said that I see green, as being pink or wtfever, people would say I was colour blind.
tl;dr
Your statement is incorrect.

Just down syndromed or incredibly stubborn.......anyway.
This thread IS about religion.

To me, this thread is:
1. A joke
2. To make the point that religious nuts may interpret anything as anything, regardless of whether it makes sense or not. Check out that whole Bible code nonsense for instance; Searching for patterns, words and phrases in religious texts. Apply the same algorithms to randomly generated garbage and you'll get the same results. Nevermind if it's not even the original Bible that they're searching in. It's just silly.

That's what I believe, too. Some people might be too stubborn to admit that one of their family members is having brown eyes instead of blue. If the person is stranger, they may say it correctly: "She/He had brown eyes". I didn't explain clearly enough. From Ahielia's viewpoint, my statement is incorrect, indeed.
This thread IS about religion.
To be more exact: behaviour of religious groups.
Edit: I went too far in my last comment when I talked about making a Jesus wallpaper... that gives the idea of worshipping and that's straight talk about religion. I should have stayed talking about signs and use devil just as a plain parable, like many others did. Someone referred to Jesus only as a genetic object, not as a saviour. capo's post gives the idea of this thread. We are talking about interpretions of religious texts and symbols... not about religion itself. ... + joking about such things.

In my mind that's exactly the same thing as religion.
The people are acting because of the religion. The religion isn't making them do it.
