In this case zelda.

In Zelda DX:
I can make savestates but then when i load them, the sound is gone.

In Zelda Oracle of ages:
I can make savestates but then when i load them, the game freezes and sound is gone.

It's a bug just with GB/C games. I'd actually suggest you try and look for VBA's predecessor VisualBoy on the net and use that instead. Or Try HelloGB or another GB/C emulator.

So where is the Mac version? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Among downloads. Its very old compared to the linux and windows branches though.
Continuous versions are not compiled since hardly many devs are familiar with Macs, and SDL runs just as good. You could compile the latest revision from the cmake file.
