I really like Desmume but the graphics are really bad compared to No gba and the thing is It's not as smooth as no gba even though I have max FPS ...

Try to use a different filter. Bilinear is the best in term of smoothness, though it has a little "bug": The one pixel large line on the left part of the screen is moved onto the right part, so it is a little annoying.

No$GBA may seem better, but it's not. DeSmuMe has a lot of function, plus is updated everyday.

Well .. I know that ... it just that the smooth I mean is in gameplay , not in graphics , tested on both no skip mode and skipped mode ... it s still the same , No$Gba = really smooth movement even if it 's at the same speed

What are you smoking?

Bilinear is the worst filter overall.

Pear is the worst fruit overall. Nectarine is the best. Red is the best color overall. Turkey is the best cold cut meat overall. Pinky finger is definitely the best. Of all the types of screwdriver bits, the philips rules the roost. Kentucky is the best state, by far. Catapult is the best word that starts with C. Zurich is the coolest city in Italy.

Phenom 2 x4 955 OC 3.6 GHZ , 4 GB 1333 G.SKILL , HD 4850 1 GB crossfire
The thing is I noticed that Desmume at 60 fps = No$Gba At update interval 30 fps ... no$gba 60 fps = smooth like hell

use the latest desmume, disable frame skipping, and set advanced bus timing to off unless its absolutely necessary for that game.

If a game runs half-speed all the time (because of CPU issues), just try increasing the FPS throttle (http://forums.ngemu.com/desmume-discussion/132540-discussion-would-nice-emulate-games-1-2x-1-4x-speeds.html) to 2x, use a recent SVN revision, or wait for the next official (0.9.6) release. Your game should probably get fast enough unless there is a bug that slows it down for some reason...

Also, it's really important to make sure you download DeSmuME from desmume.org and not desmume.com (which only has 0.4.0, a really outdated version).

That site should be closed and redirect to desmume.org.

Well, I was just guessing about chivien999's problem (and the possibility that he might be using a CPU-intensive game in an older DeSmuME). Sorry for the false hopes :p
